We really did have such a fantastic time at The Milky Way today. It is such a unique place & kept our 3 year old enthralled from open to close! To echo other recent reviews, all of the staff that we came across were so incredibly helpful & friendly. We so often come across miserable staff at other attractions who ruin the magic of what should be a fun family day out, so it really stood out to encounter genuinely kind, fun people today. Despite the large size of the attraction, the staff exuded a warm, welcoming, family feel. Our interactions with such lovely staff is one of the main reasons our day was so memorable. From the man on the dodgems who so kindly played police & fireman Sam music during my little boys ride, to the man operating the Ziggy’s Blast Quest who made my son believe he was starting the engine of the ride each time - he was in absolute awe & it meant the world to him! We had a genuine welcome & goodbye upon entry & exit to the park too. We found the whole park to be very clean & tidy, even the soft play area (which again in other attractions can be grotty!). We frequently visit attractions around the UK with our little boy & truly felt our day out was extremely good value for money. We would love to return if visiting the area again, but in the meantime will enjoy listening to our son recount all the fun stories about his amazing day out at The Milky Way!

We happened to come on one of the most soggy wet days and let me just say it didn’t ruin the day at all! We had a lovely visit and particularly enjoyed the shows. The kids loved Merlin and we were amazed by the birds of prey show (indoor as was too wet for outdoor show). The birds literally flying around between our heads and what actually made the show was you can see the love and care given to the birds by the guy doing the show (sorry can’t remember his name). We all LOVED the slides from 3years old to 40 they was great fun. Every single member of staff we came across was so lovely particularly the gent who was at the slides encouraging my daughter to go down the blackhole slide I don’t think she would have done it without him. Although it was wet we still went on the roller coasters outside. Some of the family actually got stuck on the ride at the top but was swiftly down and it was actually one of the highlights of the day bringing lots of laughs. I really do think this is a great place and would happily return when back in the area.

First time visit as a family, and what a day out. A lot undercover, so great to do on a rainy day. Very spacious inside, do you never felt cramped up or overwhelmed with crowds.
The staff are amazing, with everyone being helpful.
We loved the fact the bumper cars were operated depending on the crowd waiting. So little ones had a chance to go around with minimal and no bumping, and then older kids and adults could go around faster and bumping allowed.
The soft play was a great place, with a reasonably priced food options.
However, the highlight for us was the afternoon birds of prey show. David really knew his stuff and clearly loved his birds. He was very insistent on no dogs anywhere near, children to remain still etc for their safety and that of his birds. We loved watching Daphne, Bill and the rest of birds. My daughter is still talking about Bill nearly a month later.
Well worth a visit.

All the staff was polite and helpful
While we was there we had to go to the first aid room twice, the people who do the first aid was caring and friendly making the girls at ease, thank you for all your help while we was there, the staff are very friendly and we felt welcomed the grounds was flat which makes it so much eases for disabled people just like myself
We can't wait to come back!!!!

Had such a great time. The park is well staffed. There is so much to do there, but the best part was definitely bird of prey displays. His knowledge was amazing, and the birds were so well looked after. He also has great humour 😄
The food is well priced, not expensive compared to some parks.

Great value for money. Plenty to do, without queuing for to long. Wide variety of rides and shows. Bird of Prey show was absolutely brilliant 👏. An excellent day out for the family.

Excellent family day out, lots of options for the kids and more than just theme park style rides. Reasonably priced food in the café. All the staff were excellent and genuinely friendly.
The birds of prey sessions were a particular highlight.
Would thoroughly recommend.

Really enjoyed the Birds of Prey displays both indoors and outdoors, very informative and fun knowledge also for children of all ages. Great day out for adults and children. Would recommend.

Indoor and outdoor venue catering for young and slightly older kids up to early teens. Some really cool activities like the ninja course, which had us all shattered at the end. The gravity rider was up there with our favourite things to do especially when it started to drizzle, the tyres went that bit faster , but after a while they had to close it due to safety, which I get, but while it was going it was epic.
The cosmic typhoon was really great to go on and had both my son and I screaming in high pitch, and laughing all the way round too.
The birds of prey where excellent and the closeness of the birds especially the blue coated eagle as it came in to land was a think to behold a few unsuspecting people walking past came close on a few occasions to the birds nearly clipping them, which was worrying and slightly funny at the same time.

The Gravity Rider is always a crowd-pleaser, and we’re glad you got to experience it at its best! Safety is always our top priority though, so we appreciate your understanding when we had to close it down temporarily.

We have a 3 year old who is 90cm tall, and an 18 month old who is toddling. Is this park suitable for them, or are they still a bit too small?

Out of curiosity and because I’ve told friends about The Milky Way when they say they’re going on holiday in Devon could this be the same Milky Way I visited with my son probably 25-28 years ago, was a working farm and you could pet/feed the animals and milk the goats in a barn etc? The farmer had a fantastic sense of humour and great banter with visitors. Thank you

Hi. Yes this was us. Although we’re very different now, we’re a spaced themed adventure park rather than a working farm. We no longer have animals (only birds of prey) but have things like play areas and rides.

It depends when you last visited? We have added Ziggy’s Blast Quest (a laser shooting ride) this year along with a brand new shop and entrance. Last year we added a large outdoor donut slide and balloon room. I hope this helps.

We went as a party of 10, with 6 to 13 year olds and grandparents too and we all had a fab time and thought it was excellent value for money. There are 3 main theme park rides, at least one is for older kids and we all went on lots. There are outdoor trampolines, ringoes, really interesting bird displays, pottery, a maze and archery. All of which kept our teenagers engaged. I think it's fun for all of the family!

Thank you for your enquiry. Well behaved, friendly dogs kept on a lead are welcome on site. We just ask that you please do not enter the bird of prey shows, bird of prey centre, the carpeted play areas including the new Little Stars area for under 7's.
We also require all dog owners to sign a form on entry to show that they understand and agree to the above.

Hi. We have added more outdoor attractions in the past few years with the jumping pillows and new Gravity Rider slide however it is true to say we still offer more undercover facilities than anywhere else in North Devon so we are very well geared up for bad weather. So it just really depends if you want to make use of our outdoor rides and attractions. I would suggest taking a look at our website.

Hi Claire. Queues for the rides are fine around this time of year. The only queue you’ll really experience is for Santa’s grotto but he’s defiantly worth the wait as he’s the real deal! The kids can even play in the play area while one of you queues for your turn. However we are attempting to improve queue times this year with visits to Santa only available by booking online where you can select a morning or afternoon visit. Hi Hannah. No you do not need to book to see any of our shows. They are included in the entrance fee. I hope this helps. Paul.
