Great cafe with excellent coffee and sandwiches- excellent friendly service. We visited twice and were really impressed with the welcome and quality of food and drink.

Went for lunch at The Flavel Dartmouth, as light lunches were advertised on their sandwich board outside. We were stood at the counter whilst two sandwiches were being prepared for customers. We were acknowledged by the lady preparing the sandwiches and told that she would be with us in a minute. A few seconds later we were approached by another woman, who I thought had come to assist the server. Unfortunately, we were told that we were too late for lunch and they were now only serving drinks as they stopped serving food at 2pm, this was two minutes past 2! How ridiculous. The Flavel are constantly asking for volunteers and for people to use the facilities available and then one person comes along and because of their "jobs worth" attitude alienate customers. Why not just serve us the light lunch advertised. In fact, the "jobs worth" could have actually helped the server and everyone would have been happy and it would have only taken a few minutes longer than our talking to, we weren't expecting cordon bleu, just a soup and sandwich. There were tables available and it was a Tuesday afternoon. We saw no times advertised anywhere and 2pm is still within the window of people wanting lunch. Needless to say we won't be back and will warn our neighbours and visitors to avoid the place and use more accommodating and friendly cafés. Let's face it, Dartmouth has a wonderful selection.

Wow, just had the best soup ever
roasted cauliflower soup and a cheese scone, absolutely delicious
and the ladies who work there are so lovely too

Recently my friends and I went to view Batman 2022 at the Flavel in Dartmouth and I am over please with the friendliness of the staff and the quality of the place. It is in a beautiful location and had lovely interior and cleanliness. Will return as much as I can .

Went to see the film Belfast and had a wonderful night out. There's something about seing a movie on the big screen with the lights out with friends that is more engaging that watching it on TV. We got there early enough to have a drink at their friendly bar (you can also take drinks into the auditorium). I also see they do live music events and live-to-screen nights also - I'll definately be back!

The Flavel Arts Centre is situated right in the centre of Dartmouth offering a choice of interesting activities such as art exhibitions, concerts and a cinema showing newly released films as well as the live ballet performances favoured by many city cinemas. Definitely worth visiting!

Went to a film and had an, excellent value, meal deal. Would have given five stars, but the seats are very cramped and hard. For movies, the screen it set way back from the tired seating, so don’t worry if you get the front row!

We enquired about the Meal and Movie deal. The lady on reception couldn’t have been more helpful, giving us a choice of cinema seats on a very clear diagram and explaining the deal well. We enjoyed our meal at The Castle and then went a bit early to the Flavel and enjoyed a glass of very reasonable wine with our movie (Rocketman). A lovely evening out for a very reasonable price - if we'd bought tickets at our local cinema, they'd have probably cost only £1 or so less than the meal and movie. Will definitely do this again if the offer stays.
