We stopped in a hotel overlooking the harbour and walked around it everyday to get towards the hoe ant the lively shops, cafes and bars that surround it. A very nice place to take in the view.

Never been to Plymouth before and wanted to go to this harbour. Wow, it was lovely. It was a nice sunny day and there was lots of people about. There are plenty of pubs and restaurants about to get something to eat or drink. A lovely atmosphere and it felt like we was abroad. Definitely recommend this harbour to visit when in Plymouth.

Are these two epigrams linked or part of the same political or artistic installation, maybe connected with Mayflower 400? On the right on the Barbican side of Dutton’s Cafe, are the words ‘hold me beside you’. Across the Cattewater, on Mount Batten breakwater is the much bigger framework of scaffolding bearing the words ‘NO NEW WORLDS’ and the words are illuminated in varying combinations. The white dots used to form the letters are the same on both locations. It seems more likely than it that the two are intended to be viewed and considered together but the exact significance or intention is open to wide interpretation and preference.

Quite alarming the lack of caution around the harbour, it's as if Covid-19 has gone away. For the uninformed, it hasn't.

We often walk around Sutton Harbour using the foot bridge that has reopened after being closed for repair for so long! There is now easy access to the Aquarium and you can carry on round doing a circuit back to the Barbican.....passing many cafes along the way.

The first time that I have moored in Sutton Marina for many years, but this latest experience places Sutton as the best marina I have stayed in - not just in Plymouth but in the South West. Extremely friendly staff with superb facilities and quiet berths with no noise or swell. The Barbican is right next door and so plenty of evening entertainment and dining options.
Although initially the price seemed quite high, it includes WiFi, electricity, and water and also free tea and coffee from the marina office.

Stayed very near this harbour. Surrounded by quirky shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants not to mention spending time admiring some of the yachts and boats moored up. This is of course the harbour for the Barbican so enjoy a meal or a drink Sat on the quayside.

Dit grote havencomplex bevat o.a. Sutton marina doch ook andere jachthavens zoals West Bay Marina en Guy's Quay Marina. Langs de randen van het bassin veel horeca. Het is een rustige plek want afgesloten van het buitenwater door een sluizencomplex.
