Just back from a fabulous jet ski safari which was given as a birthday present. Very well run set-up and loads of fun with the added bonus the weather was kind as well.

My son (age 12) and I went on jet skis yesterday. It was an absolutely fantastic experience and I would highly recommend this company.
The team were super-friendly from start to finish. The changing rooms are high-quality with decent showers and free lockers. The safety briefing was thorough and clear. And best of all, the time on the jet ski was just brilliant. Super-fun and massively enjoyable, we had a brilliant time. I have no doubt we will be back soon to repeat the experience.

TL;DR -- Excellent facilities, instructors, and support staff. I plan to return for more training next year. Highly recommended!
I spent 10 days training on two of Brighton Boating's larger sailing yachts (11.5 metres), living on board in the marina at night. The boats are in good condition, well equipped, and with living facilities much like a caravan. The marina facilities are excellent too and available to the student. The more important part, of course, was the quality of the training I received. I'm an instructor myself (I teach flying) and I'm pretty quick to get grumpy when experts are poor teachers, which sadly seems is all-too-common. From that expectation I was very delighted to find that the three instructors (Beth, Alan, and Mish, thank you team!) that I was assigned to during the progression of my courses were all very capable teachers in addition to being highly accomplished sailors. They were friendly, encouraging, reasonably demanding but not bullies (if one is paying to learn, an instructor who lets you get away with slacking off is not actually delivering you good value), accommodating, and ready with good explanations. Equally importantly, they listened to students' questions, and were willing to take a practical in a different direction based on those questions.
In terms of the sailing, I and the other students learned all manner of things about managing a sailing vessel in tidal waters, and crew management. In the process of completing the RYA "Competent Crew" and "Day Skipper" certifications, we planned and executed trips to other marinas, including and overnight stay, anchored off the coast, did some cooking at sea, learned about sail trim, basic maintenance, boat handling, docking and maneuvering, safety and how to be a skipper. We did some night sailing too--it's challenging to find an unlit marker buoy inn the dark by compass navigation alone when on a boat that's bouncing on waves and the compass won't sit still. However, it could be a life-saving skill if the GPS gets jammed by the Russians, or simply goes out due to an electrical problem (I've had that happen several times while flying, so don't discount the possibility). A particularly fun, although simply lucky, part was when a pod of dolphin swam alongside us and played with us for more than an hour.
The supporting team in the office were fantastically helpful too. I had to take airline travel to get to the course, and had a frankly unreasonable number of questions to ask to ensure I brought all the things, but only the things, that would be needed. Seb, Aneira, and Amanda were infinitely patient, even when I'm pretty sure I asked several questions twice over the several months of my planning for this. All the other folks on the team were immediately ready to help any time I had a question while I was there too.

The best experience ever! The team who took us out on the water were so friendly and reassuring and kind, they made the experience funny but also feel safe, it was just a great atmosphere all round and I would highly recommend! We will be doing this again for sure!

Took the powerboat level 2 course. As a relative novice I found our course instructor, Simon, to be very relaxed and unintimidating. He was clearly extremely knowledgeable and experienced and had some fantastic anecdotes to break up the learning. The weather was mixed so the tuition was flexed around this. Great experience and really pleased with everything I learnt. Simon was excellent!

Did powerboat level 2 with Simon over the weekend. Simon was great - relaxed, put everyone at ease, super knowledgeable, and supportive. We had to work around the weather in October, but covered everything we needed, and had a lot of fun. Strongly recommended for RYA Powerboat Lev 2 - great kit, well maintained boats, supportive and knowledgeable staff.

I’m writing this from the marina because we had such an awesome experience!
We hired 3 jet skis and the power boat for 8 people Beth and Pete were fantastic we swapped every 10 minutes either drivers or people into the boat - such a fantastic experiences for 7 newbies and 1 adrenaline junkie bride
We’re their first hen do and I don’t know why more haven’t done it - get booking!

5 out of 5 without a doubt!
From the moment we walked in, we had such a good feeling. The staff was super friendly, very knowledgeable, very clear with their instructions and the equipment in great condition.
We loved it from the get go and would highly recommend the experience.
This was our first time jet skiing and no doubt I will jet ski again, thanks to Lagoon Watersports.
Brilliant!

I did a two day power boating course this week. The level and professionalism and customer service from the point of booking, through to the end of the course surpassed my expectation.
As soon as I easily booked the course on line, I received clear instructions and information about the course. Upon arrival I was welcomed and staff were there to answer any questions.
We met our instructor J C, who who sorted us out with getting kitted up. After some boat theory we were out learning the practical stuff and getting to grips with handling the boat. There was plenty of time to practice and perfect our techniques.
We also learnt about navigation, charts, radio procedure, tidal systems, man over board and loads of other power boat related guru knowledge.
J C's level of instruction was on par with any other top level instruction I have ever received. I would genuinely look to specifically requesting booking her for any other courses that Lagoon Watersports offer in the future.
If there is a course at Lagoon Watersports Brighton Marina, do not hesitate to book on with these guys. They will look after you and teach you everything you need to know and more.

Most unprofessional and unknowledgeable company I have ever experienced.
Booked a Jet Ski safari for my girlfriends birthday and they cancelled on me 15 min before the session after getting up at 6am and driving 1.5hrs. They cancelled due to supposed fog, however it was just cloudy. The visibility was about 2000m plus. It was just an excuse for them not to take us because they couldn’t be bothered. They did not try to reassess the situation and they were just purely lazy!!!!
DO NOT EVEN BOTHER BOOKING WITH THEM. IT RUINED MINE AND MY GIRLFRIENDS DAY.
As you can see from the images below the fog was not low lying at all and many other companies were going out sailing also. It was flat calm with no swell…

We contacted you at 0900 when the Fog came in, prior to your 10am session. it was not clouds as you made out and when visibility is under 1000m it is called fog and we cannot operate high speed Jet skis with poor viability. It is for your and others own safety, we have no reason to cancel unless we really have too. The fog cleared by 11am and we where up and running again. Alternative sessions where offered to you on that day. We refunded you in full for the session.
It is normal for the sea to be calm in Fog otherwise it blows away. It is just unfortunate for your session the fog came in. Ee are not willing to compromise safety no matter how rude and hostile to the staff you are.
