My wife and I saw a play in the small upstairs theatre then stayed afterwards for drinks in the main bar. Lovely friendly atmosphere on a busy Friday night, drinks well priced and great bar staff. We'll certainly be going back.

Went here to see a show upstairs in the Theatre as part of the Brighton Festival, and liked the friendly atmosphere and bar staff. The Real Ales on sale were varied and reasonably priced. A very good alternative to your usual bar with no attitude

A long time ago, Me and my partner have visited here once before for a gig which got cancelled so we were disappointed by the whole experience.
This week we came back and had much more success, And loved it. The lady who was working the bar was lovely. The upstairs venue is intimate and incredibly loud. Just how it should be. They should try and get more live bands here.
Good selection of beers at a fair price. It's a nice place to chill.
A hidden gem in a very cultural part of Brighton.

I've been here more times than I can remember, and it's a place that where people embrace their differences and you feel so very at home. Staff are fantastic, pool is free, there's non-gendered toilets which is good, and all in all it's a wonderful little pub.

Not been here for a couple of years but found myself with my friend searching for a bar and ended up in legends for early evening drinks. Nice for what it was but moved on quickly in search of fellow ladies. The Marlborough felt so homely and nice on a cold windy evening. The beers were fab as there was a selection of great craft beers and the thai menu was well priced and varied. Really nice staff and a nice mix of people. Looking forward to coming back for the theatre. This is a great pub and few and far between,i left london a couple of years ago and the scene in Soho was dying. We need to hold on and support these pubs that are working hard to give us somewhere lovely to meet and relax. Well done Marlborough ur doing a great job.

Popped into the Marlborough after a busy working day for a refreshing long drink...it was busy and bustling but i was immediately acknowledged by the busy bar staff who were smiling and polite...once served i soon found a seat as people were coming and going all the time...the tables were kept clean and before i sat down one of the bar staffwere over in a flash to wipe it over with new bar mat and smile. This is a busy pub ..at the time i visited, but they are aware of their customers needs and aim to please

I have been here loads of times whilst living in Brighton and it is by far the friendliest and most relaxed pub in Brighton. Great staff, great atmosphere, great food (when its on) overall cant fault this place!

Have popped in here many times over the years and it's nice enough but with so much competition from other pubs around town I'm surprised The Marlborough hasn't upped its game a little. We went in on Friday night, there was a DJ and the place should have been rocking but it was very quiet. It is looking very tired and could do with a bit of a face-lift. The staff are nice; I hope things pick up.
