At the Cheltenham Lit Festival, ordered 2 glasses of Red Wine ( see picture), total £15, shop wine in plastic glass, ridiculous.

If you can use another venue to see your production I strongly recommend you do.
I took my grandchildren and daughter to a production here, unfortunately the sound was so bad we couldn't make out what the characters in costume were saying at all. Other members of the audience complained as well. The small children were disappointed not to be able to follow the "story" but still enjoyed seeing the show.
After the show I emailed the town hall and their response was awful. Basically they denied there had been a problem at all...end of. No customer service at all !!
That was nearly £80 on tickets wasted.

Imposing town hall in the heart of Cheltenham, built using the local Cotswold stone, to great effect - one of the prettiest buildings in a stunning part of the town.

What a beautiful building - I’ve been to Cheltenham many times over the years but had no idea what a lovely place the Town Hall is until I went there for a concert last month.
The acoustics were really good, the staff friendly & helpful & the bar actually had enough staff which is unusual! Hopefully “my band” will play there again but I will be keeping an eye on forthcoming concerts at the Town Hall as it’s one if the nicest venues I’ve been to in 30 years of gigging

Saw a comedy gig here. Organisation seemed seamless; we didn’t queue to get in or for a drink. The venue itself is beautiful, we both commented we’d book another event here just to return. Central and near all nice bars and eateries. Perfect.

Beautiful building with elegant features. Behind is the even more beautiful Imperial Gardens which has some stunning flower displays.

There is something amiss about the acoustics here. Have only ever been to two concerts in the main hall, one many years ago, one this last week. Both were amplified and when the groups were at their loudest, the sound was extremely muddy. It's a stunning room, but was clearly not designed for amplified music. Some sort of acoustic dampening needed?

What a fabulous imposing building - like much of this area of Cheltenham, the architecture is striking with symmentrical facade. It's well maintained too.
We also recommend popping into Lloyds Bank (High Street), still a bank (a rarity these days!) and Listed, with so many original features, and staff happy to explain some history too.
What a wonderful place Cheltenham must have been to live in the late 19th / early 20th centuries

The town hall is used as far as I know as a entertainment venue. It is a stylish building in the regency area of the town. It was built in the early 1900s.

I’d always threatened to visit this iconic building in Cheltenham, and this year I did.
The architecture is stunning from the outside, and indeed when you enter, it certainly doesn’t fail to impress.
It’s basically used as a concert, entertainment venue rather that the usual town hall business.
I was left to have a wander round, and any questions I had were dealt with by charming staff.

Pease can anyone tell me of the seating up in the rear gallery is proper seats (I cannot sit on BACKLESS SEATS)!!!???????????????
