The staff and service here are fabulous. Our 5K pub runners group have been here for the last 2 Thursday evenings and they have provided us with food for our runners and made us feel very welcome. We will definatley be back with our group and many of our members will come here individually. Thanks to Lee and his team

We recently discovered this gem of a pub and have visited frequently since. The pub has a lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, a good outside area with a great view. I just find it a really great place to relax and forget about the outside world. We've eaten there twice and the food is excellent, portions are far too generous though. So glad that we found this place, love it.

So went for a Sunday roast with family.Wonderful staff and the food was delicious.Cant wait too visit again.

Tucked in at the end of a lane in an absolute oasis! A lovely locals independent pub with good home cooked food--nothing particularly fancy but the usual pub favourites. I was there for their splendid open mic evening held on the first Thursday of each month. Some fantastic local talent.

Read a feature on this place in the New Forest Post and decided to pop in for a lunchtime drink.
What a fantastic spot! Lovely people, lovely beer (and wine) and surprisingly good food. Excellent value as well. All in all well worth a visit.

My wife and I took our daughter, son in law and two grandchildren to the Travellers Rest for a meal on Wednesday 3 April. We were aware, from a previous visit, that food is not available on Monday and Tuesday each week but were surprised and disappointed to be informed that food was also not supplied on the first Wednesday of the month. Why on earth did we not know that?
We were advised by the proprietor that this absence of service was highlighted on the Pub’s website but, when we checked, the pub did not even have an up to date website.
I wish this place well for the future but hope that other potential patrons are better informed than we were.

Clean, cosy pub, peaceful location away from all hustle and bustle. Relaxed, easy-going lunch with the family. Unrushed, very chilled atmosphere. Lovely home cooked roast which comes in two sizes, smaller for the smaller eaters and larger for the more hungry. Staff are welcoming and friendly, booked to return and looking forward to another tasty Sunday lunch

Food was really tasty freshly cooked & homemade. Friendly staff & landlord always welcoming. Clean & modern toilets. Live music will definitely recommend.

The Travellers Rest really does deserve to be busier! Lovely food and a cheerful, friendly owner who is always happy to chat. Beats some other of our local eateries hands down!
