Myself and my partner Matt attended the introduction to the pottery wheel on Friday 22nd September.
What a fabulous day! Sarah and Jon were so informative and helpful and very patient.
We came away with two little mini pots.
Great experience you must try if you won’t regret it.

I attended the Introduction to the Potter's wheel and really enjoyed the experience. It was the first time I had used the wheel and was eager to learn. Jon and Sarah were very welcoming and very good teachers - I managed to create 2 pots that I was quite proud of! Time flew by and I am looking forward to learning more on a day course soon.

I was gifted a Potter’s Wheel day course, the day was brilliant from start to finish. The teachers Jon and Sarah were supportive, good humoured and very enthusiastic, any question answered and help provided. Demonstrated first by Jon, then we spent the morning throwing small pots learning skills along the way. After lunch after Jon showed how to use larger amounts of clay and try for a plate or larger bowl, surprising results, some good and some hilarious! I left with two items chosen from many to fire, glaze and post on to me.
Throughly enjoyed my day, and would love to do the two day course in the future.

Had a brilliant day at Eastnor Pottery. Jon and Sarah make you very welcome and are very knowledgeable and patient teachers. Great fun learning how to use the potters wheel and make our pots. Met some lovely people and we all had a great day. Can’t wait to see my creations which will be delivered home once they’ve been fired and glazed. Thanks for a wonderful day

Jon and Sarah were lovely people and great teachers. I loved how they gave guidance and encouragement but also just let us experiment. We had a full day - the time flew and I honestly could’ve stayed for another day. The pottery studio is lovely, and the area is beautiful. Highly recommend to anyone who is starting out and wants an opportunity to learn and practice with non-judgemental, kind, true artists. Great value for money when you realise how much you get.

We had great fun in this introductory lesson with Jon and Sarah. Both we’re exceeding knowledgeable and gave lots of encouragement, and their studio is light and welcoming. Definitely worth a visit!

Thank you Suzanne. I'm glad you had an illuminated time! A few years ago we took the decision to really brighten up the workspace with extra lighting/paint etc...It really made a difference not only to our own making but also to our guest's experience. There are no dark corners to hide those wobbles and happy accidents! :D Thanks once again for attending our Intro class and taking the time to recommend your potter's wheel experience online.

Oliver and I holiday in the area every year and Eastnor Pottery has become part of our holiday, so much so that for the last 4 years we have returned! We can definitely recommend the experience. Jon and Sarah are brilliant tutors, they are patient and teach with a great sense of humour. Even if your pot doesn't quite turn out as expected you learn something every time and it's a fun experience.

Hello Russell and great to catch up with you and Oliver again last week...and for introducing another two of your clan to the way of the Bin Bag Boys!!! Your annual visits are rapidly becoming one of our calendar highlights and we were relieved you hadn't abandoned your traditional pottery garms for more conventional protection ;) Thanks for reviewing your experience and we are already looking forward to your visit next year. Hello nicks52 and thank you for your enquiry - sorry it's taken a while to respond. Clay is a fantastically universal material suitable for all ages and all abilities. We have worked with aspiring potters as young as 6 months and as old as 96yrs! Hope to welcome you to Eastnor Pottery soon :)
