For me, this is how I imagine England to be,..windey old streets, old rustic pubs, a couple of historic monuments nearby, a picturesque church etc....well this area of St.Albans has it all. If you ever visit this lovely town then please make sure to visit this wonderful suburb.

Lovely old part of the city with access to The Waffle House and a few pubs and also to the park. Watch out for the kerbs - the can get to 2 feet high!Parking available in the park

We visited in August 2019 and were amazed at how many pubs have disappeared since 1977. That's not to say that it's not a good thing. The area is quieter, although porsche, mercedes and audis have replaced the cortinas. It's a lovely walk fro town and St Michael's church and the Verulam museum and the recreation grounds are not to be missed

A great little village setting (over the river from St Albans !!) with several bars of very different kinds offering drinks and good food. A good stop after a walk in the adjacent park and riverside.

The Parish of St Michael is a quaint English village easily accessible from the town centre of Batchwood drive.
The Waffle House is here and also St Michael’s Church.

St Michaels is one of the prettiest ares of St Albans with its several good restaurants / pubs, the historic Kingsbury Water Mill , St Michaels (Saxon in origin) Church and the remains of the Roman City of Verulanium with its Roman Museum. The River Ver runs through the village and adds an air of tranquiity to this lovely village

My first experience of St Michael’s was when I first moved to St Albans. After an enjoyable stroll through the city centre my wife and I wandered down Fishpool St and onwards into the Parish of St Michael.
It’s an absolute gem of a village, bordered by Verulamiam park which is perfect for a relaxing stroll or a summertime splash in the water park for the kids. Containing a couple of great little pubs in the Six Bells and the Rose & Crown which serve great beer and great food. And with the added gems of St Michael’s Manor hotel and the Waffle House.
A quiet enclave within easy walking distance to the centre of St Albans, who could ask for more?
It’s an absolute gem of a village, bordered by Verulamiam park which is perfect for a relaxing stroll or a summertime splash in the water park for the kids. St, Albans is full of old cottages that date back years. Full of history. Every corner you go around takes you back in time

This delightful old area of St. Albans is very little changed other than modernisation of some of the lovely but original buildings. The church of St. Michael is particularly attractive and the street ends very close to the wonderful area of the modern Roman Museum and the magnificent lake.
