Had a fantastic experience moonlight canoeing with Ally this week. None of us having canoed before and the youngest of our family being six I was a little anxious but after five minutes on the water and with Ally's guidance and words of support, everything fell into place and we were off! We had a fab time and our daughters thought it was a wonderful experience. In fact, we're trying to find somewhere back home up to carry on canoeing - we're converts!
Definitely recommend!

We recently joined Allie for several of Quest 4 Adventure's experiences. We started our holiday with the Moonlit Canoe on Windermere; we had such a lovely night, Allie is fantastic at making everyone feel included and we had a thoroughly lovely time. We had no experience of canoeing before and Allie was able to make us feel extremely comfortable in no time.
We then were lucky enough to be able to experience Gorge Scrambling and Rock Climbing in the same day. On both adventure experiences we were led by Allie, who was again fantastic at making sure everyone was able to get the most out of their experience. The gorge scrambling was honestly the most fun I've had in a long time. In the afternoon we went Rock Climbing and had such a lovely time. Allie is clearly very passionate about what she does, and this makes the experience even more fulfilling for those taking part.
We were extremely impressed with every experience and would confidently say that these experiences made our holiday one of the best we've ever been on.
I would highly recommend the experiences Quest 4 Adventure offers to anyone.

We went on a gorge scramble at Coniston as a group of 10, mixed adults and children. Our guide, Ali was brilliant. Really knows her stuff and able to cater for the most confident and the least confident in our group. The gorge walk was challenging enough to be adventurous, but without being too difficult for us all to take part. A fab day out, we are all still talking about it and would love to do it again. Cannot recommend highly enough.

My friends and I went on a gorge scrambling adventure and also a moonlit canoe with Mark and both were amazing! Would definitely recommend it to anyone, Mark was a great instructor and next time we're up in the Lake District we'll definitely be using Quest 4 Adventure again.

Absolutely amazing experience, one of those once in a lifetime things. We met at Low Wray campsite at 8pm and were a little concerned when were the only people with children (aged 8 & 10), however we put at ease and the guide strapped our two canoes together. This meant that we were easily able to keep up with the others. The lake was like a mill pond and there wasn't a breath of wind. Watching the sun set over the mountains was breathtaking. Stopping at a deserted beach to have hot chocolate and marsmallows with a camp fire was a lovely touch.
The children and adults alike had a great time. The equipment was of high quality. I would definitely recommend this activty just make sure you book early.

Amazing! We had a great evening moonlite canoeing. Great information, guide and views. Could not have wished for any more. Would recommend this organisation for anyone wanting to explore the lakes in a variety of ways.

We went on the Ghyll Scrambling course for beginners based near Great Langdale NT campsite. It cost £25 pp and our group leader was Andy. We were a mixed group of children, adult women and one couple. Andy was professional, experienced and went through the safety aspects clearly and with an engaging teaching style.
We changed into our wet suits, harnesses, trainers and wind jackets at the campsite before walking for ten minutes to the Stickle Gyll just above the Sticklebarn Tavern. Stepping into the ghyll and walked upstream for the next couple of hours was the best fun I have had in a long time.
It seems such a wrong thing to do, but once you've broken that mental barrier and stepped into the water it is just a brilliant experience. Halfway along we did a short climb up a waterfall, using our harness and a toprope.The kids loved it, some of the adults wavered slightly but we all scrambled up one way or another. There was no pressure to take part in anything. Andy was encouraging and supportive to all.
Carrying on the wading, scrambling and swimming up the ghyll we reached our last bit of fun where we all had the opportunity to jump into a small, deep pool. I almost didn't, being such a general scardy -cat about most things. At the last minute I did and I loved it! So glad we did this. Thank goodness too for those lovely hot showers at the campsite. There is another course based in Coniston water at a more powerful waterfall and I'm considering doing that one next year.
The other afternoon course we did was the Rock Climbing. Again Andy led us and we had a fantastic afternoon climbing up a rock-face overlooking Langdale. To get an opportunity to climb outside in our favourite valley was a real treat. Cant recommend these activities enough.

We have now been on two activities with Mark and Ali and would not hesitate to recommend their services.
Both Ghyll Scrambling in Great Langdale and Introduction to Rock Climbing on Lower Scout Crag where very professionally run with good humour and care by Ali (Ghyll Scrambling in 2013) and Mark (climbing this August).

Took my 10 year old son Ghyll Scrambling twice with Quest4Adventure this past week. We had originally only planned for the introduction to Ghyll scrambling but enjoyed ourselves so much we immediately signed up for the other scramble. My son also tried rock climbing which he also thoroughly enjoyed. Mark and Andy were true professionals throughout. They were always attentive to customer needs with a focus on safety and wellbeing while ensuring everyone enjoyed themselves within their own individual limits. The activities were as difficult and strenuous as you wanted to make them and great experiences for young and old. I would not hesitate to use them in the future.

We went to the Lakes for my wife's 50th birthday.we did canoeing,midnight canooing and gorge scrambling.Ali our guide and owner of the company was excellent.i would thougherly recommend this experience
