This was a great little alternative on a Saturday afternoon- had an excellent time meeting the alpacas which had great temperaments and learned plenty about them too! Terry was brilliant and it's great what they are doing- highly recommend a visit, just make sure you're prepared for the wet weather if it's around!

We visited the Lake Distillery today to partake in the alpaca feeding.
Kids and adults both enjoyed. After a quick safety talk everyone was given pellets for the alpacas to eat from your hand,
The activity lasts approximately 45 minutes, with the guides continuously giving out pellets and supplying information on their alpacas, of which they are very passionate about.
It’s worth noting the alpacas are free roaming so will wonder around at their leisure.
Overall the alpacas were very friendly and are used to humans and feeding out of peoples hands, we got some great photos.
Also saw a couple of wheelchair bound adults who were able (with assistance) to go into the alpaca field and join in the activity, which we thought was great.
For people with dogs (sadly dogs and alpacas aren’t a good fit so dogs are not allowed into the field) there are benches looking onto the alpaca field so you can watch (albeit from a distance).

My husband and I had a great time with Terry. We don't own any animals and sometimes I can be a bit shy with animals but we both enjoy them in their natural habitat. Terry was great at making us feel comfortable and our alpacas, Jake and Ziggy, warmed up to us right away. Terry was very knowledgable and what we loved the most is how much fun he had taking photos and videos of us with our alpacas. The walk around the estate was beautiful and there were so many great spots for photos. The alpacas each had their own personality and it was awesome to form a bond with them, my husband's alpaca was 'purring' for him before the end. We had a great afternoon, learned so much about alpacas and have some hilarious pics to remember forever.

I had a couple of super cute alpacas come to my wedding at armathwaite hall, they even wore bow ties! They really made my day extra special and kept the kids and adults amused, so many great comments about having alpacas at our wedding :)

I visited this attraction on the 6th July 2016 with my sister-in-law and mother-in-law to be and having waited since August 2015 when I first stumbled upon the idea, it was everything I was hoping and more! Terry was fantastic and funny, but full of knowledge with an answer to all of our questions, no matter now obscure, for example "have you ever put loads of Alpacas in a line and done a conga?!" I walked Will, and Alexandria walked Boo, and 8km later we met the rest of the herd and the babies too. The fact Terry took the time to learn how to use my camera so he could take lots of photos for the memories just added that extra touch, walking in the lake and the woods was just brilliant and I can't thank you enough. What an amazing experience, I would recommend this to anyone, young, old, fit, unfit just try it. You will not regret it at all. Thank you once again!

It was great to see my daughter Alexandria & my daughter-in-law to be Tammy, having so much fun. Terry who runs it is brilliant and funny. I would recommend anyone of all ages go walk an Alpaca. The babies are so cute.

I had such a brilliant experience at Alpacaly!
After finding them on twitter and contacting them, I was able to book a trek for a Sunday afternoon. Luckily the weather was decent :)
We arrived a bit early so had a wander around the grounds of Armathwaite Hall which is such a beautiful place, and worth the visit just to see the scenery! Then Terry and Emma met us at the gates to the alpaca field, with the alpacas we would be walking.
We walked with them down to the lake and even took them for a paddle! Then once we walked them back, we fed them and went to see the babies which were so adorable!
Terry was our guide for the trek, and he was absolutely brilliant! So knowledgeable and he took pictures of us throughout the trek on our phones.
Couldn't recommend this experience enough if you love alpacas :)

We walked Willy & Boo who were very well behaved and so cute. We walked around the grounds of Armathwaite Hall and down to the lake for a paddle. Wear appropriate shoes/wellies as the stones in the lake are slippy. We throughly enjoyed this experience and Terry was very knowledgeable and helpful. We hope to do this again and would recommend it as it was great fun. A big thank you to Terry.

A real unique experience - walking Boo and Big Will was so much fun. Like having a big fluffy toy with you and really helps you make friends with people you meet on the way. But were really privileged to be able to watch Honey have her little calf (?) afterwards. Terry and Emma are lovely people and we would absolutely recommend going for a walk with them and their glorious alpacas.

We had a lovely stay at the Armathwaite Hotel & Spa, and it was made even better with an absolutely fantastic time walking the Alpacas! We loved Will and Boo, they were such sweethearts, and Terry was a fantastic guide and a great teacher telling us all about the care of Alpacas. The walk was stunning and the views are definitely better with a fluffy Alpaca by your side :) We couldn't recommend Alpacaly Ever After more highly! We're also very excited to hear of the new baby cria arrivals to the herd, and we can't wait to go back and visit them all soon!

Hi, pretty sure the address is on the tripadvisor page but you can book from Armathwaite Hall in Keswick which is where the female alpacas are kept and grazed, the females are used for the walking tours.
I had a great day out so can if you take the time to book it.
