‪تستحق أطلال القلعة حوالي 15 دقيقة سيرًا على الأقدام من وسط المدينة جهدًا شاقًا ولكن تشعر أنه على الرغم من وجود عدد قليل من الألواح حول المباني المختلفة إلا أنها محدودة في المعلومات.‬

‪قليلا من المشي الحاد يصل إلى القلعة. دائما الناس عن أي وقت من اليوم. آمن تمامًا للمشاة منفردين ، إنه مسير صعب من مدخل Sunnyside Off Aynam Road إذا لم تكن لائقًا تمامًا. لا تحاول ذلك. أسهل أن تأخذ مدخل طريق القلعة لأنه أقل تطلبًا. مناظر رائعة في الجزء العلوي وبالطبع خراب القلعة. الخندق يملأ الآن كل المطر الذي تحبه الكلاب لتجديفه‬

‪Splendid views all around‬

‪Beautiful spot and easily accessible. Parking no hassle at all. We visited early in the morning so had the place to ourselves albeit for some locals taking a walk with their dogs! Splendid views all around. With some imagination you can conjure up an idea of how majestic the castle must have been a long time ago. ‬

‪Nice walk from Kendal centre‬

‪Nice walk from Kendal centre, nice views when you get there. The walk is fairly easy up and back to Kendal Town Centre - pass an hour and give it a go!‬

‪Worth the climb‬

‪It was a very steep hill to climb at my age but I was rewarded with awesome views, absolutely stunning and worth the effort. There are information boards around the castle ruins, it is well worth visiting.‬

‪Breath taking views worth a visit.‬

‪Worth the visit, steep hill but what a view. Definitely recommend it visiting this castle. We parked side street. Short cut to the castle, but can only park there for two hours. Breath taking views.‬

‪The views.‬

‪It was a bit of a steep path, but worth it. Despite the awful weather, there were many people at the castle. Families with children, and dog walkers and hikers. There are information boards. No facilities, so take a picnic, in the better weather. It is a very historic site. AND it is free.‬

‪There is more to this castle than meets the eye, the informative info boards lead you straight to the days of Henry the eighth. No that he ever stayed there!!!!

‪A Fabulous Castle that’s Free‬

‪Having visited the Lake District almost every year for the last 45 years I had never been to Kendal Castle and it was my loss. Absolutely superb with stunning views and when I went I had the whole castle to myself, wonderful and well worth the climb to get up to it.‬
