‪Great afternoon on Derwentwater, well worth it.‬

‪Pete was a very attentive and approachable guide, especially as one of us was very nervous about being out on a canoe on the open water. We were lucky with the weather, so spent a very enjoyable afternoon on the water and islands of Derwentwater. Pete was very knowledgeable on the history and wildlife of the area.

Would highly recommend.‬

‪BEST afternoon spent on Derwentwater‬

‪I was nervous about the weather in November, but somehow we managed to hit it right and spent a perfect blue sky afternoon canoeing with a fantastic guide and awesome scenery. It was lovely and peaceful too and I’m not sure it would feel like that in other months. Just perfect! Easy instructions to find our guide (Tim) who was great and really friendly and I felt so comfortable immediately. Canoed up, life jackets provided, safety briefed, confident and off we went. Honestly the scenery was breathtaking, Tim was amazing and so knowledgable regards the area, the wildlife, the history - he gave us loads of great info - even places to eat and drink locally. (We owe you a drink Tim, we hoped we would see you in a bar) … It was my birthday and I had just the best time canoeing seeing stunning views and enjoying beautiful natural surrounds and the peace of the water. We even got to moor up and have a cuppa on one of the islands. I cannot wait to do this again sometime, fantastic value for money too and we had a great session which took us into dusk, really magical. Just BOOK IT. Thank you so much Keswick Canoe and Bushcraft. Excellent!‬

‪Night time canoeing on the Ouse in York w. Deb Nuttall‬

‪Little did I know when I came across this opportunity. I just did a mini-evening/nighttime/Canadian canoeing safari on the York river Ouse. Fairy lights and the works. And that included getting in and out of the canoe in mid-York for a quick snifter and one of the best-known riverside pubs.

What an amazing mini adventure.‬

‪Fantastic evening experience!‬

‪Had a fantastic evening of canoeing with Keswick Canoe and Bushcraft last night. As someone who hasn't had much experience of being in a canoe, Deb made me feel at ease on the water and made the evening a brilliant one! It was great value for money and I couldn't have asked for a better evening. Thank you very much, I highly recommend booking with them!‬

‪The perfect introduction to canoeing.‬

‪I had one to one training in open boat covering a introductory skill base including different paddle strokes and learning about basic canoeing from loading/carrying/launching/safety/equipment and "J" stroke along with demonstrations of other strokes, the whole day was set out perfectly and deb nuttals teaching skills were outstanding, could not reccomend this service enough.‬

‪Canoe lesson with Deb Nuttall‬

‪Today I had a one on one canoe lesson with Deb Nuttall.
As a complete beginner I actually thought I would jump straight in and be away as it’s “only paddling a boat” how wrong I was it’s actually so technical.

Debs had me paddling like a pro in no time, this lady knows her stuff! She was super patient with me, even when I lost the paddle at one point. 🫠

Debs is a fantastic teacher, the way she explains it all, shows it all has you gliding along the water in no time it’s really quite empowering and not to mention her immense knowledge on everything nature!

All the kit was provided even down to the brews.

Had such an amazing time and it has sparked the love of a new hobby for me.

‪We had a great time as inexperienced canoers. Really enjoyed visiting the local islands and we were provided with lots of information which really added to the experience, and felt no pressure to go faster (or slower) than we felt like going. Had a great day, would absolutely recommend.‬

‪Perfect & relaxing treat on the canoes‬
‪Myself & my daughter had a brilliant morning/afternoon with Pete the instructor.
He took us to different islands exploring & telling us the history & pretty much everything with very interesting facts.
He even brought us a choice of coffee, hot chocolate or tea which went down like a treat.
Will definitely be coming back to try new activities & this one to be done again x‬

‪Superb day learning bushcraft‬

‪We had a great day doing the Canoe and Bushcraft session with Deb Nuttall, she brought incredible knowledge of all aspects of the local environment, history and plants. She illustrated everything with a story that added that extra dimension to the knowledge whilst making it great fun. Can't think of anything that would have made this a better day or learning experience. Should be on everyone's list of things to do whilst in the Lake District.‬

‪Fun, enjoyable, interesting canoe experience‬

‪We went out on a canoe tour with Mick, it was a really great personalised experience - it was only us two in one canoe and Mick in the other. Mick made sure we could go out in the canoes after a slight delay at the beginning as the boathouse was flooded but Mick went above and beyond to make sure we could get onto the boats, really went the extra mile. The island knowledge was outstanding, we both came out of the experience knowing a lot more about the local area and nature in general. We walked around all the islands and Micks knowledge was incredible, really got a sense of community for the area and knowing its history made it worthwhile. Seeing the mountains from the lakes was really invaluable, you wouldn’t get those views from the land. Absolutely would recommend. Mick even took some amazing photos for us!‬
