What a find! Keswick has been seriously lacking such an offering. Fabulous range of real ales served directly from the brewery next door. Lovely atmosphere outside on a warm and sunny spring afternoon/evening that, generally, attracts the hiking communities rather than some of the (dare I say it) lazy tourism. Bar staff, unsurprisingly, knowledgeable about their offer and super polite.

Good selection on tap - kegged or casked - for a small location. Nice indoor and outdoor seating areas.

We did the brewery tour and had a great time. It was a small group so was a very intimate tour. Nigel who gave the tour was fantastic, gave us lots of interesting stories about the history of the brewery and where they are now. He was very passionate and welcomed our questions.
The tour ended with three taster beers, and Nigel was kind enough to let us sample a couple of others we were interested in.
The pub itself is really nice inside, with a really great beer garden for when the weather is good.

We had a tour around the brewery and would highly recommend it. Our tour guide Nigel was really knowledgeable and passionate about their beers. We were given some samples of the beer to try which were really tasty. The bar is dog friendly and is a really welcoming environment! We will definitely be back!

Great tour - very informative and tour guide Nigel clearly knew everything about the brewing process. Would recommend to any beer enthusiasts when in Keswick. Really nice tap room too where we had tasters at the end of the tour. If you don’t want to do the tour then it’s a nice little venue just to go for a drink and sample a few of their beers.

Web site information not clear so we didn’t get to do the tour. Young girl behind bar in fox tap room knew nothing about the beers so couldn’t and didn’t help with what to choose.

I am sorry you were disappointed that you could not do a tour. We have made our tour page on our website as clear as we can, explaining which dates we are running tours. I understand you thought we ran tours from 2 -7pm, which is our opening times.
I am unsure why you thought the bar staff knew nothing and did not help. All our staff have a lot of knowledge about our beers and the brew process. You said the types of beers you did and did not like and so our staff suggested a selection of 3 thirds for you to try. They also offered you a sample of one they thought may be another option.
From the descriptions you gave I would have also suggested the same beers to try.
It would have been really helpful to us if you were not happy if you had mentioned this while you were at the bar. We would always try to sort any issues you had.
We hope you visit us again

Fabulous brewery tour in this small micro brewery . This is an absolute hidden gem with a bar and outside seating area just a few minutes walk from the centre of Keswick.
Nigel the brewery manager was the host and went the extra mile during the 45 minute tour which we found really interesting. It provides a real insight on how a small brewery works. It is so refreshing having such a motivated and engaging host who wanted to ensure all the tour participants enjoyed the experience.
We were provided with a small drink to start with and Nigel provided an overview of the history of the brewery and how it has been developed over the last few years. At the conclusion we were provided with three 1/3 pints of the brewery beers, I have to say Keswick Gold is my favourite.
I would highly recommend the brewery tour which is run on Fridays at 1pm and costs £12.50 which is tremendous value but must be booked in advance. If a tour is not for you I would recommend a visit as the team will make you feel extremely welcome in a lovely safe environment.
You can purchase drinks to take home in bottles, pouches or small kegs. The bar is open Tuesday to Saturday between 2pm-7pm.

We did the brewery tour and it was fantastic!
The staff were really knowledgeable and told us lots of interesting history about the brewery and surrounding area.
It is a small brewery but we were really impressed with their setup, use of materials, and commitment to sustainability and the environment.
They give you a taster beer when you arrive and three beers to taste at the end of the tour
— all which are very tasty!
All of their beers are clearly labelled if they are vegan or not (a great bonus for two veggies like us).
It’s a lovely taproom with a welcoming, cosy atmosphere for a rainy day.
I would recommend the brewery tour or just coming for a pint if you’re in Keswick. 😊

Fantastic brewery tour, great ale and brilliant hosts.
The tour is definitely in safe hands with Sarah.
The brewery definitely deserves all its success and hopefully its ale will be found in all the big pub chains and shops in the near future.
100% would recommend.

The knowledge of the staff and the passion for brewing was really good.
Excellent value for money and the venue was very welcoming.
Great to hear of the history of brewing of Keswick and to hear it is continuing today.
Even as someone who has brewed his own beer, even I learned 3 new things.
Very informative and well worth it.

Not 100% sure on that one as part of the £10 entry fee included tasting a selection of the craft ales. I would recommend phoning to enquire?

no stairs. we didn't book but it is best to £10 entry but REALLY worth it.x
