I have been a few times now starting from a complete beginner to bouldering and have absolutely loved it here. Really great welcoming atmosphere and friendly, knowledgeable staff. Loved it so much I brought my 5 year old boy for his first session at the group sessions on Saturday morning, which he absolutely loved. Would 100% recommend, I just wish it was slightly closer to me so I could more often!

I had a wonderful time despite being a complete beginner. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and checked in with us throughout the evening even though it was a particularly busy day. I really recommend doing the beginner's class as it gave me so much confidence to try the walls on my own. The whole place had a very friendly atmosphere. Modesty friendly changing rooms and bathrooms. The changing rooms are small individual / family rooms with full length doors. The bathroom is unisex and a single room.

Great sitting area, loads of climbs and the staff are super friendly. Joe H is very approachable and knowledgeable. Would recommend this climbing centre to anybody of any age.

I went for an introductory session at Social Climbing last night and Beth was so friendly and helpful. She explained how to start and plan a climb, demonstrating the climb for me first. She encouraged me to take my time, kept things within my comfort zone but offered challenge as well. She taught me two 'tricks' to develop technique and taught me sound safety awareness. For anyone wanting to dip their toe into bouldering, do the introductory course, it will boost your confidence and get you off to a brilliant start. Thank you Beth!

The center is located very centrally. Great venue - spacious and with different level nicely placed around the center. Staff were super friendly and helpful. My son has a kids club session and the coach was so patient and supportive throughout the 1.5hr session. Parents can take a seat and enjoy a cuppa while waiting for the kid. Would be fabulous if they have auto-belay available at the center too. Met some really cool parents and kids and ended up sharing the climbing experience together. Highly recommended to everyone!

Great climbing gym, people & children of all ages climbing and socialising. I've found this a really friendly atmosphere, making new friends and climbing at least once a week here. The staff have been nothing but friendly and helpful, especially when choosing my own climbing shoes.

Been before and kids loved it but this time was very different. Arrived 15 mins early and left out in the cold and wet whilst the staff hung around the reception. Then due to numbers they wouldn’t let us sign in - you have to really search for this information online. Then we found another person, but they still wouldn’t let me sign in a friend’s child. Staff were polite but were really unhelpful and looked like they couldn’t care less which was infuriating. Ruined a whole day (because they don’t open til midday even in the holidays). Also the people behind us left because they wanted to pay cash, which they don’t accept… that family did not look impressed. Is this company taking in so much money that it can afford to reject so many customers? I’m sure we weren’t the first to have these problems, and if they were bothered about it they would have changed their website to make it clear.

We do try and make our policies regarding supervision and signing waivers as clear as possible on the website to ensure the safety of children and guests at our centre. Due to the nature of the sport we do require parental signature, this information can be found on the website under the 'Kids Climbing' tab.

I've been here a couple of times usually on a Friday evening after work and it's great fun, fairly casual and the staff are always welcoming. I took my 10 year old daughter and her friend to the kids club weekend session yesterday and I wasn't disappointed. Alex was absolutely lovely with the girls, he talked them through the safety measures and was really encouraging of them to give things a go. They really warmed to him and their confidence grew, they really can't wait to go back and I can't thank Alex enough for his patience and kindness! Ps they do lovely hot drinks if you're waiting or just need a break!

First time visiting today with the kids. They’ve bouldered before and was excited to try this place out. Unfortunately they were so short staff that it tainted the experience as we had to wait so long to get sorted. It felt overcrowded on the mats and seating area. There was a lot of people that clearly climb regularly and seemed to think they had more rights to walls then us. The kids didn’t get a go on a massive section in the middle as a few lads were on it the whole time which didn’t feel aligned to the social philosophy. They said no drinks too in our induction on the mats so they aren’t tripping people up, however, there was bottles of chalk on the floor and iPhones everywhere dumped which are just as much of a hazard which I think prob wouldn’t have mattered if it wasn’t so busy. We felt uncomfortable and left promptly which is shame given the price. I think this place has great potential and we perhaps visited on an off-day which is a shame.

They have beginners sessions on a Monday night. Give them a ring to book in. Really helpful and great place to climb.
