Management at Merchant Square is just a chaos. Been waiting for 30 min, with no clarity on when we will get on even though we have booked specific time in advance. Lady from management has been extremely disrespectful and clearly needs some problem solving skills. Extremely frustrating experience.

Great fun. Lovely staff at Paddington Basin. Perfect experience. Boats are safe and a lovely part of London particularly past the zoo.

A super fun experience along the canal and great value too. The team on the ground were friendly and helpful - pointing out areas of interest we'd see along the way. We went as a team, took a picnic with us and made an afternoon of it. We had a lovely time going at a relaxing pace and taking in the sights - there's heaps to see. I know the area very well but GoBoat is a great way to see even more of it! Would definitely do this again!!

What a wonderful way to see more of London whilst spending a very chilled couple of hours. We did this as a team and was so relaxing, we all came off feeling totally refreshed. Great value as well. We took two boats out as there were 9 of us and was lovely to be sailing along behind one another.

Seems like a lot of tourist don't know about this gem. We did the 1 hour trip which was perfect for our group of 6 which included 2 kids and 2 grandparents. Everyone enjoyed the relaxing trip with a different view of London. We went in the morning and brought along coffee and breakfast. It was a great way to start the day and see different parts of London that we would otherwise miss. The staff and facilities were great as well.

We had a lovely birthday day out planned that centred around an afternoon at goboat Paddington only to be emailed the evening prior to be notified that our booking had to be cancelled due to algae and moss growing on the river.
Super disappointing of course as it was too late to cancel our travel and surrounding plans but we understood it was out of goboat’s control.
We were offered either a refund or a rebooking and have been waiting over three weeks for the refund. Given the really last minute cancellation almost ruined my friends birthday and plans I would at minimum expect us to have be reimbursed by now.
In fact, I would have expected a gesture of goodwill in addition to the refund given the situation. We have contacted goboat and are awaiting a reply (or ideally our money back!) but I would warn anyone looking to book not to base your entire visit to London and plans around your boat trip as it seems this sort of short notice cancellation could throw your plans into disarray!

We recommend Go boat , enjoyed it and staff all excellent , shame you can't get off at Camden. But did with another couple for birthday . Took lovely picnic...

The boats are over-booked, there are no spare boats and no time allocated between hires which run very late. My booking was for a two-hour slot at 3.15pm and we arrived at 3pm as instructed. Finally set off at 3.40pm, there was no seating, shade or updates from staff provided whilst we waited. We were then asked by staff to cut short our trip (to enable the boat to be back in time for the next hire). Pretty outrageous really.

A really great afternoon. Two hours up the regents canal with a group of friends and colleagues from work. An excellent opportunity to have some downtime in a beautiful environment along the canals of London. Highly recommended.

Which route is best? The Paddington or Kingston?

That's difficult to answer because they are really different. Paddington is obviously far more London/urban. With Kingston you can take alcohol apparently, for Paddington not (although you can take food and even your dog). So long as the weather is ok, you'll have fun either way.

Best time to go? Afternoon or Mornjng? Want to book for my birthday on a Sunday in early July.
Hey there! It is totally up to you. Perhaps for a date in July it would be great to do a midday- afternoon trip and enjoy a picnic on the boat in the sunshine. For a quieter trip, the morning would also be a good option.
Can you do the full loop in an hour or would it be better to go for 2 hours?

I’d do 2 hours, we got all the way to Camden lock and back in two hours including waiting at the tunnel for it to clear!! Plenty of time

You return the boat where you got on ( for us this was Paddington ) - you do a loop

I know the answer (and it's a yes) but just wanted to ask (and let people know) if the boats are dog-friendly, and if there is a limit of the number of dogs allowed on board?

There's no official limit but we'd probably say 1 dog per person.

It's currently 2 households or bubbles per boat. OR 4 individuals from different households sat 1 metre apart.

It's £79 for the first hour; £119 for two hours; £159 for 3 hours. Each boat holds 8 people so it's about £10 each upwards.
