I attended here for a corporate event rather than a cricket game but left incredibly impressed. The staff are all very friendly, efficient and knowledgeable, while remaining professional in style. Meeting rooms are modern and clean, the food was exceptional and the service throughout the event left nothing to be desired. With the history of the venue, great balcony and views, plus the brilliant staff its certainly somewhere I’d consider organising a smart corporate event at.

The best cricket ground in the world. Great mix of old school pavilion and all the history of the ground, with the new modern stands and balconies etc. Such a great venue. A warm Friday night at the oval is as good as it gets

The birth place of the Ashes in 1882 is noted on a plaque at the main entry gates. It is an impressive entrance and the ground is magnificent. It is a great place to watch cricket. Looking forward to returning in 2023 for the Ashes.

On my first return to this iconic ground since my Dad used to take me as a boy (annual trip up to the Smoke from West Sussex to see a test, either at the Oval or Lords), the first rendering of God Save the King was sung, and the latest incantation of Stokes's new positive approach was witnessed (saw the Headingley version earlier in the summer). Two great days Test cricket were thoroughly enjoyed, and while the eating stalls offered a wide range of food for lunch and tea (small lobster and crayfish buns for £25 anyone?!), the beer venues mainly sold lager when our group all preferred IPA. That was the only niggle, on an otherwise wonderful return to this internationally famous cricket ground.

My teenage son and I attended to watch The Hundred on 14th August. We had previously watched The Hundred at Lord's, and enjoyed it, as we did here - The Hundred is fun to watch and well-run from a cricket and entertainment point of view, so no problem with that.
However, the Oval itself wasn't as well-organised as one would have expected, and certainly didn't compare at all favourably with our experience at Lord's last year. The problems started on leaving Vauxhall station - whereas at St John's Wood, for Lord's, there are people to point you in the right direction and marshal the crowds across the roads, here there was nobody at all! Luckily a helpful local saw us looking confused at the very unhelpful map by the station exit and showed us which direction to take!
Following that, getting in to the ground and finding our seats was fine. We had Gold seats in the Galadari Stand which afforded a good view of the pitch, and were comfortable to sit on for the many hours we were there for the women's and men's matches. The Galadari stand faces directly into the afternoon and evening sun, and we were there on a heatwave day, so if you are a sunseeker this is a great stand for you - if, like us, you aren't, then take plenty of sun lotion, a hat and sunglasses! The large stand directly opposite the pitch from the Galadari Stand and Pavilion was in shade for the whole afternoon, but I'm not sure what it's called.
There were many food stalls all around the Oval, with something for every taste - however the only thing I couldn't spot was just a simple place selling sandwiches, crisps, that kind of thing! I'm sure there is somewhere like that at Lord's! So if you are there for the day, you are likely to end up having hot meals, such as pizza, curries, or burgers for both lunch and dinner. It would be nice to have a simpler offering in addition to these, although my lunchtime chickpea curry and my evening veggie burger were both lovely! The queues for many of these were long, but the queues for the water fountains were even worse - a topic which deserves its own paragraph, so here we go!
There was a heatwave when we visited, with temperatures on the day of our visit at around 34 degrees, and on our advice emails it said to bring a refillable bottle as water was available at the fountains, which sounded suitably environmentally friendly and very helpful. However, the reality was very different! The water fountains were around but extremely hard to spot (and also very difficult to operate as you had to bend down and hold your bottle under the tap bit halfway down while simultaneously pressing a button at the top of the machine, which was not easy to do at all)! The flow was also extremely poor so each person was taking a couple of minutes to refill a bottle, longer if they had others to fill too! So long queues formed back from the fountains, out into the main thoroughfare through which crowds were walking, so people were having to walk through the water queues to get anywhere. There was absolutely no staff to be seen to marshal what was happening or get queues formed in an easier place. I have never seen anything more chaotic in my life! People, including myself, had to miss several minutes of match time as we were still queueing for water, despite having gone directly to the water fountain at the intervals! I was very disappointed with the absence of any staff involvement as this was no fun for either the people wanting to fill up or those trying to get past!
Also poor was the marshalling after it all finished. At Lord's there were marshals right the way back to the tube station, but trying to get to Vauxhall was a complete free for all and I felt very sorry for the traffic trying to get through. The queue to get back into the station was packed and disorganised, meaning that we missed our one train an hour (Sunday!) to get home, and ended up having to pay extra for a well-known taxi firm to take us back. Also note that there are no public toilets on Vauxhall Station (we checked with a member of station staff) which seems very odd, particularly on an event day at the Oval when many people will have drunk a lot of beer!
So to sum up, The Hundred itself was fun and we can recommend that, but our lasting impression was that the Oval itself was much more poorly run and managed than Lord's.

We went for the Hundred cricket on 23/08/2022. The cricket was great, but the powers that be really must get to grips with the PA system. I suggest that someone high up in the Oval management, actually sits in the seats normal fans sit in, not the corporate boxes, but next to “the man in the street” who has paid £40 for a ticket and cannot hear/understand any of the announcements made or the interviews and videos reporting throughout the match. This system needs a complete overhaul. The cost of the food is as is normal in these places horrendously expensive. £11 for a small portion of chips with a lump of chicken on top. Really? Drinks again over the top. We were sat amongst a group of about 35 young people who were probably on a works outing from a city firm, and who were immature and drank for more than there young bodies could cope with resulting in foul language and behaviour. I lost count of how many times we, or the row in front had to stand up to allow small bladdered people out to visit the loo and then return five minutes later, only to repeat the process half an hour later.

I purchased a Virgin voucher for my Dad's birthday which included a Tour and Afternoon Tea and whilst I knew my Dad would love it I was unsure as I am not a cricket fan. I have to say the tour was fab, and our guide (wish I could remember his name) was brilliant (only thing I would say is a "stair" warning is required - there are a fair few to climb). The afternoon tea was lovely and the service was good. Great value for money and a good day out. Worth noting we went during a county match so quiet - a busier event might be a different experience!

We enjoyed the cricket 100 match and were well seated. Beer and food was reasonable. Our only complaint was we could not get a cup of tea anywhere. Loads of bars but no tea or coffee. There was one tiny tuk tuk coffee stand but it was closed !

Hi, off the top of my head no, but at the boundary bar (OCS)they have various brewery beers and a wonky apple cider from Bermondsey! from what I have read. Lager is Lager, price’s at the oval are not the cheapest. But have a walk around and have a look about. There are a few pubs nearby as well, take your ticket with you
