‪Park is gorgeous, but too many screaming kids in the cafe‬
أكتوبر 2021
‪The park is a lovely park, a bit like St James's. It has some lovely old trees and it has lots of river birds. It has table tennis tables but in the children's section which is annoying. it has an outdoor gym area which is very nice. It has lots of benches and picnic table. The lake has some pedalos at a reasonable price. The cafe is horribly noisy with loads of screaming kids and parents, it is like a creche. There ought to be childfree areas so grown ups can have some quiet, without all the screaming and kids running around with scooters. The food is nice at the cafe the staff don't make any conversation with you other than basic stuff. Lots of local seem to look the same and have ginger dogs, it is very stange ,they were like clones. If you have a fashionable dog you cannot take it into the restaurant and you have to sit outside in the rain. It was good to see some blind people using the park. The park is really nice and I love it but there too many kids. It is good that lazy and polluting motorists have to pay a parking charge in the park.‬

‪A truly picturesque park‬
الأصدقاء • يونيو 2021
‪Though I knew of Dulwich Park, I had never been before and it was the park that was centrally located for my friend and I.

The park is stunning, very reminiscent of Central Park. There are some lovely walking trails, ponds, tennis courts and lovely little hideaways for picnics or reading.

Despite so many people being there, it never felt crowded and was extremely peaceful. The only thing that I could of seen less of was people feeding the birds and ducks as they were being fed things like crisps, popcorn and bread, which I heard shouldn’t be fed to them and caused them to become quite aggressive when feeding off the food-it felt like a shark frenzy.

A beautiful park for a variety activities. I will definitely be going again during the summer.‬

‪A warning for park visitors.‬
يونيو 2021
‪!!!!! W A R N I N G !!!

I use the park regularly to walk my dogs.....
But this is not a review it is a WARNING......

Please take care when visiting Dulwich Park as they have Processionary Moth/Catapillars.....

They are extremely dangerous to animals and children....
The park staff are aware but don't feel it necessary to put up WARNING signs...
Because they have some trees treated !!!
But I found 2 colonies today just above my head !
I think this is a short sighted position as many places elsewhere advise visitors to stay clear of oak trees during the time of year they are active...
Check out the forestry website for details of the dangers and treatment if affected.‬

‪Met my daughter and 2 of my grand children here on a very wet day. There was only one other car in the car park. 3.11.20. We have not seen each other since the start of covid, as I am also looking after a mother with cancer.
We were so happy, we walked round the park paid for bikes and very expensive drinks. An hour or so later we returned to the car park to see that we both had parking tickets. We were gutted. Last time we came here it was free to park. It ruined a beautiful morning. I contacted Southwark. Told them I was key worker for Southwark and that my daughter was a single parent with 3 school aged children. Nothing. We still had to pay. It was a genuine mistake. Parks should not charge for parking, specially during these Covid times. Thanks Southwark.‬

‪A Sunday stroll that wasn’t DUL in Dulwich !!‬
بمفردك • أغسطس 2020
‪We decided to venture on Sunday, a we went to Dulwich Park,we entered the park by the Dulwich Art Gallery entrance, and if you lucky, like we were, park just inside of the gate, you have to pay over the phone so be patient, it will ask you how long you want to stay and take payment.

We purchased a ice cream, from one of the various vans dotted around the park, before making our way to the lake, you pass the boating station to take a pedalo out on the lake,we declined on this occasion see the picture to get what I’m taking about.

You then take the broad walk, which weaves it way over the reed beds see pictures below, before taking a long but peaceful walk towards the Rosebery Lodge, and on to the covered shelter see below a picture, as per there are plenty places to sit or you can find a shady piece of lawn and have a picnic, Bliss!!, we found a bench.

We then made our way pass the bowls club and children’s playground, before reaching the Dulwich Clock cafe restaurant, looking but the state of the building it look like it once housed the cricket pavilion.

We sampled there hot beverages before, exiting the park by the Court Lane entrance before making our way to the The Plough pub in lordship lane for lunch, see review if you are interested.

After lunch, we came back into the park, by the same entrance we had left, walked back to the main entrance by the art gallery, and walked around the surrounding areas of the village, up pass Belair Park and House and pass the world famous Dulwich Collage, and then back pass the Dulwich Art Gallery, before returning to the car before we left to come home.

So in summary we never found it (DUL) in Dulwich on that Sunday, so take a look around, your be mad not to.

‪Run!‬
بمفردك • مارس 2020
‪Managed to get here before full-on quarantine began, and really liked the running circuit - a 1.7 km loop (who knows why they didn’t make it 1.6 km aka exact mile) that has every 100m marked out for you. Pretty much flat all the way round too.

There’s plenty of other things to do here as well; walks, picnics, play football, tennis, feed the ducks in the pond, or grab an ice-cream or bite to eat whilst your children play in the play areas - all the while surrounded by beautiful trees and plants.

Plenty of access points, and pretty close to West Dulwich train station.‬

‪Pretty landmark of Dulwich Village, at London's southern edge‬
يناير 2020
‪The park is very popular with locals and visitors alike. I came upon it while walking from the train station to the famous Dulwich Picture Gallery. A small dog ran across my path, a ball in its mouth. It dropped the ball in front of me and nodded; and that's how I became a user of that park. I threw the ball several times so the little dog could enjoy chasing it across the green and I was treated to the beauties of this beloved local landmark. Good for picnics in fair weather, too, though not in January when I was there.‬

‪Walk in the park‬
أكتوبر 2019
‪Plenty of autumn colour now & quite cheering on a grey overcast day. Children's play area & boating lake - not apparently available in October. Plenty of paths & well signposted so plenty of options to vary the walk. Large cafe with plenty of seating inside & out - had coffee & cake for £5.50. Good choice of cakes & friendly efficient service. Spotless loos.‬
