Primrose Hill is easy to get to, with a paved pathway to the top. The path's steep incline compared to walking around London makes it a bit of an effort, but it isn't difficult. The view of the city scape makes it worth going, although it can be quite busy with others visiting.
The height of the hill is impressive once on top, with most of London's buildings being below in the distance.

What a surprise it was coming up this hill, coffee in hand, to be greeted by the most astonishing view. Definitely the best view of a Central Business District I've ever ever seen. Oddly peaceful too.

Bellissimo parco adiacente a Regent Park, sito in un bellissimo quartiere e speciale per il fantastico panorama di Londra!

NEW YEAR'S EVE AT PRIMROSE HILL is totally not recommed in my opinion. In reality you don´t see much of the new year's eve firework display from here. I was totally dissapointed. Went here because I didnt get tickets to see them and thought that by the reviews I had read about Primrose Hill it would be a good alternative, NOT so.
If I'm to see them again or I'll try to but tickets or I'll go to another place.

I love the charm of this park, which is full of locals, dogs and joggers and features in history and art through the decades. It features excellent views of London and local to some nice shops and cafes.

As I couldn't get a ticket for London's fireworks, for New Year's Day, I remembered someone telling me years ago that this was also good to see them. Unfortunately, Chalk Farm was closed and I was told to get off at Camden Town underground station. It was cold, as I joined the others who also had decided to go there. When I got there, there were police and stewards keeping an eye on everyone and any car or bus. The hill was very steep and the grass was very muddy, which I had to step on as people just stood where they liked. There was one bench, which was full. I managed to stand near to the top of the hill with ten minutes to go. We counted down the last minute before the fireworks started. I had a very good view and, when it was over, someone behind us, let off some more fireworks. This continued as we made our way down the hill and the stewards made sure we left safely on our way to where we we needed to go. If you can't get a ticket for a future London fireworks display for the New Year, I would recommend this one as it's free.

Beautiful panoramic views of the city and incredible sunsets, have to climb up to see the views and worth checking the weather beforehand. Caution that this park is not 24 hours as we expected, closes at 10pm.

Before gnawing on turkey legs and slabs of rare prime rib, Henry VIll used this patch of greenery as his hunting grounds presumably while his six wives looked on with royal comportment. The only thing that has lasted through the last six centuries is the patch of greenery which my husband and I trodded upon after walking along the Regent's Canal. It was a swelteringly hot day in London except for one slight breeze we felt once we made it to the top of the hill summit. From there, you get quite the unexpected views of central London. A crowd did gather but nothing like the masses that swarm the Sky Garden or the Shard.
I suggest offering to take photos of people in front of the view in order for them to reciprocate in kind. Most were very accommodating, and for those few who demur and refused to take your picture, there's a special place in hell for them where they're constantly blinded by flash bulbs. The walk down the hill was also lovely as you see civilized people doing civilized things like having a white tablecloth picnic or creating a landscape painting under a leafy tree suitable for a mid-priced motel. We just crossed Prince Albert Road to walk through Regent's Park, one of the city's more splendorous parks.

I don’t know but there is a lot of space around. Better to use the tube, in not far away and you will have the chance to enjoy the walk.

If clear sky Primrose Hill is superb for fire work watching. Take Northern Line to Chalk Farm and walk to the top and enjoy!

If I get off underground at Chalk Farm will I be nearer the top of hill rather than at Camden Town?

Chalk Farm is closer, but you still have to walk up a very gentle slope to the hill. The walk from Chalk farm is great - across an old railway bridge and past some very cool shops and cafes and a nice residential area.

Can you hear Big Ben chime or see it on a clear day from the top of Primrose Hill?

Big Ben will be silenced for a long while due to repairs. But, even if it was still chiming, no way. It’s just way too far off. Yes, you can see Big Ben, but again, it’s very far off. Primrose Hill only offers a superb view of the London skyline from a distance.

Hi Diana
There may be some pay and display locally but if there is you may have to have the luck of the Irish to find a free spot
