Scott and Ginny were great tour guides. They gladly showed us all over London. Their flat is fantastic.

Pleasant area to visit, not for the tourist who is hunting for sightseeing spots.
The main road is tree-lined so in October, the leaves are turning and falling. There are quite a few sidewalk cafes. It's just a welcoming area. We stopped off and had lunch and a look around some of the shops, that's all, but enjoyed it

Stayed here for a long weekend. Lovely high street with a good variety of shops. The gardens at Chiswick House were stunning. Good connections from Turnham Green to the underground network

Republic
301 Chiswick high St
What a great 👍 restaurant to arrive in lockdown called ‘ Republic ‘ in Chiswick this is just what Chiswick foodies need.
Seasonal dishes that change regularly, small exciting bursts of flavour and such a mix of inventive dishes .
Sitting at the bar watching the professional chefs create is enormous fun. The wine list is very well matched to the food.
We have travelled extensively in India & this is such a well thought out menu , wonderful for vegetarians as well as carnivores.
The stuffed paneer with apricots , lasoon palak was heavenly as was the charred Cauliflower, tandoori masala brown butter ..
Can’t wait to return..

Chiswick is an area of London that has many different parts, separated by the A4 road from Hammersmith out of London and the Chiswick roundabout and flyover.
There is the busting high street full of shops, restaurants and bars running west from Hammersmith, with Chiswick Back Common at its heart, and there is a more historic area, a hidden gem, alongside the River Thames north of Chiswick House and Garden.
My visit today was to this historic area, an area that many people pass by without realising what they are missing. There is a hint with the brewery that is a landmark on the A4, but there is more to find by walking and exploring the area.
Here is St Nicholas's Church and graveyard. While there has been a church here from Norman times, St Nicholas’s was substantially rebuilt from 1882-84, while retaining the older tower which dates from between 1416 and 1435. The most notable tomb in the graveyard is that of the painter William Hogarth, whose house remains nearby, and his sister Anne, erected in 1771.
In this historic enclave there is also the George and Devonshire pub dating back to the mid 17th century, which was famous in the 18th century for its use by smugglers bringing contraband from the River Thames through a secret tunnel which came up in the cellar of the pub. Houses from the same date include those in Chiswick Square, while the Lamb Brewery also has its origins in the mid 17th century. There are pubs also along the river, but all are closed pending potential reopening in July.
Then down to the River Thames where the tide was out and the dark atmospheric stormy clouds were overhead, and a walkway along the river.

We were there for a school audition which allowed us plenty of time to explore.
Lots of restaurants in walking distance and grear shops just a short bus ride away.

Have to bring the family at the weekend and we'll use the train or tube to get into Central London. Is it safe? Also will leaving the west end after a show at 1030pm to get tube back. Should I be concerned or is it safe?

Barrio residencial de clase media-alta muy tranquilo y bien comunicado. Restaurantes, parques, casas típicas y mucha historia. Oliver's island. Pubs junto al rio para pasear y comer. Junto a Kew Garden, etc.
Buen barrio.

Hi, I’m going to stay in a house very close to the turnham green station, the only thing between the house and the railway is the backyard of the house. I’m worried that it might be really noisy though. Does someone who lives nearby can tell me if you can hear any sounds from the railway and if it bothers?
