Had an amazing day. The museum is very interesting with lots of historical items and tells the story of tennis and Wimbledon itself. The walking tour lasted 90 mins in small groups showing the courts ,media centre and the best part was being able to sit in centre court . Well worth the price and all the staff are friendly and courteous

Although we were shown Centre Court, Court No.1 and the newly opened Media Centre, I was really hoping to see more of the ‘behind the scenes’ areas - ‘facilities used by the players’, as stated on the Wimbledon website.
The tour guide and his assistant were excellent though - providing lots of information, friendly, prepared to take photos of the group and answer any questions. I thought at 90 minutes it was good value - the tour also includes museum entry with a personal audio guide - allow at least 30 minutes for the museum. Close to the museum and shop is the Wingfield Cafe, which has a large shady patio and is open to all visitors.
Good site security. Despite the disappointment of not seeing more player areas, I would recommend.

90 minutes of careful visit to the most famous tennis club in the world, very kind and prepared staff, truly unique atmosphere between the green lawns of the ground and the 2 stadiums. I also recommend it to those who are not passionate about tennis.

As a tournament Wimbledon is one of the world's great sporting events. No doubt about it. Sadly, the tour leaves a lot to be desired. There is nothing to show what happens "behind the scenes". Isn't that the whole point of a tour? What you are shown is exactly what'd you see if you had bought day tickets. Nothing more than a tour of a few courts. Seems the public have no access to most of the interesting areas (e.g. locker rooms, etc..). We only got a brief glimpse of the media centre before going up to see Court 18.
I liked the guide. She was very informative but too much time was wasted on, looking at a tree and discussing how the grass is laid. And the statement "Wimbledon didn't lose any money during covid, as they had pandemic insurance" is of little interest to anyone. All the kids in group looked visibly bored and there was no attempt from guide to engage with them. Nice to sit in Centre and No 1 Courts though.
The players entrance and referees office are listed as being in the tour but we didn't get to see them. No explanation as to why.
Museum is pretty good. Some interactive stuff for the kids, so they were happy. We enjoyed the afternoon but I think the tour needs a rethink. Members should allow more access to other areas and it definitely needs to be more fun for kids. Good there was a family discount, as I wouldn't have paid the full price.

I had such a great time on the tour and exploring the museum. Mary was our tour guide and she was just brilliant! She was very welcoming and friendly and made the tour very enjoyable and informative. I highly recommend this experience if you are a tennis fan.

We went to Wimbledon Tennis for a day and we managed to visit the museum in the morning when it wasn't too busy. Interesting to relive the history of tennis since the early years. Old rackets, dresses, equipment belonging to the old and recent champions.

This is well put together museum, full of interesting items and visual displays. They change it from time to time to keep regular visitors on their toes.

Small museum full of lovely memories from the best tennis players of all the times… you can have a real fun time with lovely games, photos, the trophies are on display, the library, multiple fashion trends in tennis along of these 200 years, balls, technology and rackets. Worth to visit if you are tennis lover

If you love tennis, you must do this tour when in London. Our tour guide was Victoria and she was very knowledgeable and friendly. Preparations were underway for The Championships, so it was quite busy. On tour we saw No. 1 Court, Centre Court, press area, Henman Hill/Murray Mound, Court 18 (longest match played here over the course of three days), and many more courts and locations. Victoria had a wealth of knowledge, told us the do’s and don’t’s if we saw someone famous or club members, and gladly answered questions and took photos when time allowed.
They are very strict about not touching the grass! There was someone with the group to make sure the group abided by that rule and made sure we stayed together as a group (I don’t remember his name).
Once the tour was over we were able to go to the museum (headsets included), the shop, and the cafe. The museum was also very interesting and the highlight, for me, was seeing the actual trophies that are presented to the singles winners.
The shop had a lot of great items to purchase as memorabilia of our visit. Staff in the shop were super helpful - one went to the back to look for additional sizes. She so friendly while ringing up our purchase. We had lunch at the Wingfield Café before heading to the bus.
We rode the Tube to Southfields Station and then had a nice walk through the neighborhood. We opted to ride the bus (stop is right outside the gate) back to the station since it was an uphill walk! There is a bag check when entering the grounds. If you have large bags, they will hold them for you. The tour ran about 90 minutes. Restrooms were not readily available during the tour, so they suggested people use them before the tour started.

Buenos dias! estaba leyendo tu opinión sobre el museo y tour d ehace algunos años. Mi consulta es si podemos conseguir entradas directamente en la puerta de Wimbledon. Gracias!

Can I buy tickets for the museum and tour at Wimbledon? I can't pre-book the tickets online because I don't have a creditcard.

Bonjour, nous souhaitons faire la visite avec notre fille de 12 ans, fan de tennis mais peut on être sur que la visite soit en français, elle serait trop déçue de ne pas comprendre les explications?
Merci beaucoup pour votre réponse.

It is not necessary to pre-book, but it is advisable, particularly in the morning as the tours get very busy.
Il n'est pas nécessaire de réserver à l'avance, mais c'est conseillé, surtout le matin, car les visites sont très chargées.

The tour is about 2 hours - you see centre court and some behind the scenes.. but remember it is a PRIVATE MEMBERS CLUB, and much is quite rightly out of bounds, you stay with the guide .The museum after the tour and included you do on your own. NOTE - tour not available when the championships are on .I thought the tour very informative. We took the tube to Wimbledon and walked up the hill then down to the aeltc, nicer than from ' southfields ' . good cafes in wimb village !!!
