‪I have been a regular customer, I have loved this place but yesterday was simply dissapointing. When we came, we got introduced to the change of rules and concept. The place itself had a nice renovation but the new rule 'don't touch the cats as ling as they dont approach you themselves' was a bit dissapointing. Before that cats were aloud to play with, had some toys for them and cats were always cheerful. We wanted to sit downstairs as the atmosphere is there more cosy. I regret that the second we sat down because there was an owner or something, I think. Absolutely not friendly person. The second cat approached us, she called him straight away, was very obviously petting them, kissing, hugging, like rubbing in our faces that we can't touch them. She even brought snacks to gather all the cats arround her. Very unpleasant. Prices have also gotten up but the quality of coffee - very poor. Food looked beautiful, but pricey. If you have are already charging for an entrance just to look at the cats, why raise the prices? I am very upset with the owners attitude as well. Will rethink of coming back. All the cats are supercute and beautiful tho.‬

‪I have been to other cat cafe's but thought I would try this one to take my son and 3 of his friends (they are all about 16 years of age). When we arrived we had to go into the reception (cage) area and take off our shoes and put some sliders on our feet (which i have never had to do before and was not told of before hand). We were then told about the no touching rule and shown our table. We were told each of us had to order an item from the menu which had actually changed from when i booked it and so we ended up having to order something we were not actually going to end up eating. The drinks on the menu were very limited and found that for a couple of members of the group there was nothing for them to either eat or drink. My son was told to stop touching the cat that was sat by his head (he was helping the cat to get his claw unstuck from the rug it was sat on) I found that the atmosphere was quite depressing, we all felt like we were pretty much being watched constantly and if we moved we would get told off. We left as soon as we could, for about 40 mins depressing experience with a coffee for me (cup with no handle which was too hot to hold but only warm to drink?) a couple of drinks and a couple of slices of cake it cost me over £50 definitely not worth the visit, I will have to wait until the children are 18 so i can take them to my preferred Cat Cafe next time‬

‪The cats and the filtered water was the only good part. The atmosphere was awkward, we weren't allowwed ro leave our table to see the cats, we can't touch them and all the workers were doing was bring us water. The cats looked unhappy and depressed. Compared to other cat cafesthis one is not worth the tought, the time or the money.‬

‪This place isn’t as good as it use to be. As a cat lover, I completely 100% back the new rule of ‘no touching’. Whilst as humans, we can’t resist the urge to stroke the beautiful kitties and fuss over them, this must be pretty stressful for the cats being hassled all day long so it really is best for them

However, there are no toys whatsoever in the cafe! I remember the days of the cats on their feet, staking toys and chasing around but all they do now is sleep- not a single toy in sight. When I wriggled around my receipt it was the most exciting thing the cats had seen all day. The only reason the cats sleep so much is because they are so bored.

In addition to this, we were seated downstairs where there were no cats and when we took a walk upstairs just to look
At the cats we were told this was forbidden.

Also, this place was always understandably overpriced (£5.50) for a slide of cake. Now it is almost £7! Ridiculous! I can get a meal for that price.

Like I said, I get the ‘no touching’ thing and I stand by this, but the lack of cat toys, being told I’m not allowed to move and ridiculous prices have made this place feel incredibly uncomfortable and more like a prison than a cafe!

After years of custom, I doubt we will return. ‬

‪We've been to London Cat Village twice. One about summer last year, and the other last Saturday on my birthday. We had two totally different experiences, and I can't say we're planning on going again. Which is a shame.

I'm finding it difficult to give it a low review compared to what I would have said it was last time we went, just because of how much we enjoyed it the first time.

When we went in the summer, it was an amazing would-repeat-dozens-of-times experience. We were let in by friendly staff 10-15 minutes before our slot, because the table was free (still had the whole hour). We had the house rules explained to us (at the time, no picking up cats, treat the cats nicely, don't let them on the table, etc). On sitting down and being welcomed by a friendly cat, we were encouraged to make an order, walk around and play with the cats and take lots of photos. We each made an order and went exploring. We pretty much spent the whole hour playing with the cats with the vast number of toys left around the cafe, and made continuous conversation with the staff who were very lovely and easy to talk to. We felt like valued customers and from that point, continuously recommended the cafe to others as a must-try experience.

So naturally, on planning things to do for my birthday, I thought the cat cafe would be an amazing idea. We booked it and made our way there on my actual birthday. We arrived a little early, we walked in anyway to see if there was a chance of an early table and we were told to come back later (a couple of minutes before our slot) because there were still people on our table. Fair enough, we'd arrived early. We came back at that time, and the people were still on our table. Apparently they hadn't left yet and they were having difficulty with it, but no worries because we'd still get our full hour. We waited in the doorway and were soon allowed to sit down.

They'd changed the rules since we'd last been. This was now a no touching cafe. If a cat comes over to you, then you're allowed to fuss it, but otherwise, no. There were no toys lying around to play with the cats, and we were told that we weren't allowed to leave our table, except to go to the toilet. They told us they didn't have any cold drinks on the menu and promptly left. I ordered a tea, but my other half didn't know what to order. He didn't want a coffee, and he's allergic to most of the stuff on the menu (nut allergy, and most of the coffees have amaretto). After continuous prompting that we HAVE to order something (which started to feel a bit rude...) we asked again if they had cold drinks, and fortunately they did have two, so he just ordered that.

The bright side was that I got a lot of tea with my order, probably about 3 mugfuls of it, and the cold drink was delicious. The downside was we felt so much more restricted, and didn't feel so much as a valued customer. It felt almost rude, and we felt just like any customer going in.

I understand the need to pay, for the sake of the cats, but the prices aren't great for food. So, not only do you have to pay £5 entry per person, but then another minimum of £4 per person for drink (I believe that was the cheapest thing on the menu).

I still enjoyed my experience here, and it was lovely getting all the photos of the cats and spending the hour next to a sleeping cat, but I didn't feel as welcome as I did last time, and the fact we were forced to make an order per person was a bit of a downer. Sadly, we're not going to be so desperate to go again, and will likely scope out now what the other cat cafes in London are like.‬

‪Smaller than I imagined but still nice inside. Some people had chairs but we just had floor mats and a low table which we didn’t expect or enjoy when we were eating food.
Menu was small and due to a upcoming change in the menu a lot wasn’t even available. Sandwiches were a good size.
Very clean, staff keep wiping everything down. Staff were always willing to answer any questions and were always polite.
Unfortunately none of the cats on our visit were interested in any fuss so we didn’t really get to stroke any. Staff tried to get the cats active by playing games etc.
The cats were all very pretty and unusual breeds but during our visit they didn’t seem to have the right personality for a cat village - but can’t be sure as only visited once! ‬

‪My daughter really wanted to go for her birthday so we booked a table. We struggled to find the cafe and a helpful staff member gave us directions whilst on the phone. We had to take our shoes off for hygiene reasons. We were told of the strict no touching policy and ushered to our seats.we felt so relaxed after the stress of getting there. We were handed a menu which wasn't to my taste so I opted not to have anything this was not allowed you had to have something off the menu.so I had to have an overpriced luke warm coffee. The cats are beautiful well cared for but sorry I will not return‬

‪My friend took me there as we both love cats. love the style of the whole cafe and it was so chilled. Seriously, the kitty loves fishy terrine was lovely and came with a warm focaccia bread. People complain about the price but the food has serious quality - not cheap ingredients! plus the cats are gorgeous - would have loved to stroke them all but i get this cant be great for their welfare if everyone that visits strokes them!‬

‪Both cat lovers, I went to the cat village with my 21 year old daughter and we loved it! It was a nice quiet break in our busy day sitting by the cats, enjoying excellent dessert and lattes in a gorgeous, cozy space. The staff were great and let us feed treats to them. Wish we could have petted them, but still had a wonderful time regardless. ‬
