Went there with friends on a weekend was busy and all but the worst part is that my Gucci almost got scratch by another guy (which is very intentional) but I’m with my friends so didn’t wanna get too aggressive the I was just standing there and this Chinese dude just try to force his way by deliberately squeeze his plastic food box which is sharp on my gucci.

Probably best for food now. Good curry houses. Has cganged over the years but still worth a visit. Not as inexpensive as it once was but still has its own character.

The name “Brick Lane Markets” brings together all the small markets located on the famous London street of Brick Lane, in the district of Tower Hamlets, in the east part of London. This district, which is now home to a strong Bangladeshi community, has welcomed over the years a wide diversity of immigrants (French Huguenots, Irish, Jews from Eastern Europe, etc.), who have shaped the culture and the commerce of this corner of London. It is inside and outside the former buildings of the Truman Brewery (The Truman Brewery) that these different markets have developed (accommodating around 250 shops), some open 7 days a week like the Brick Lane Vintage Market , but most only open one or two days during the weekend, hence the large crowds in this corner of London during the weekend. There is a diverse range of items: old books, posters, vinyl records, eight-track cartridge sets, vintage clothing, jewelry, antiques, trinkets and street food. These markets are named Backyard Market (open since 2006, arts and crafts center), Brick Lane Vintage Market (since 2008), Ely's Yard Food Trucks (street food and bars), Rinse Showrooms (since July 2016 , independent fashion designers), Upmarket (opened in 2004, 100 exhibitors), the Tea Rooms (founded in 2009, offering tea, coffee, bakery, etc.), without forgetting the Boiler House, a food hall housing more than around thirty international cuisine stalls (Italian, Polish, Lithuanian, Mediterranean, Mexican, Peruvian, Japanese and Caribbean-Asian), installed in the boiler room of the Truman Brewery, a 7,700 square foot space dating from the 1830s. The popularity of these markets is based primarily on their specificity, but also on the presence of numerous murals (Street Art), reflecting the multiculturalism of this London district.

Er zijn maar weinig plekken die zo’n boeiende mix zijn van restaurants, vintage boetiekjes, hippe bars en lokale winkeltjes. Echt een smeltkroes van culturen, stijlen en mensen.

Some sections of the are along the streets, while other areas of the market are fully under cover in designated market areas, such as the Vintage Market, the Upmarket and the Backyard Market. There will be plenty to explore indoors. Enjoy your day.

Yes. The only slightly unpleasant part will be Whitechapel High Street and Altab Ali Park. The homeless on the former are mostly harmless, and there's a bit of drug dealing in the latter. The area is quite built up during the week and is also very touristy, especially in brick lane.

Jerry, I have only a general answer. Let me break your question down into three parts. Also, at least one caveat. If you want to import "non- perishable" items you must still follow any import or custom regulations. If, for example, the item you seek is never-the-less agricultural in nature you may well be prohibited from importing and be subject to substantial fines and sanctions if you attempt.
1. Which vendors at Brick Lane ship? Suggest you check out theBrick Lane site for at least a partial list of vendors and their sites, etc.
2. Which other competitors ship and do business in which markets? Check out Street Sensation to research 20 comparable markets and their vendors in central London including Spitalfields, as Nick noted.
3. What items can you purchase subject to the above caveat? I have never had any significant problem having items shipped from anywhere in the world. Most vendors have their own web sites to sell stuff and ship anywhere besides their physical presence at a market. If a vendor does not ship, you can always use an international carrier. That way, you do not have to cart the chattel around and you can still purchase and the vendor can still sell.
