‪Glad to have visited‬
يوليو 2019
‪Although we did not have much time here, I was glad for the opportunity to visit this on-going Memorial to the U.S. Airmen who lost their lives during WWII. I wish my father had been with me. A beautiful tribute to the bond between the U.S. and England.‬

‪In Memoriam of Brave US Airmen‬
مايو 2015
‪The Second Air Division Memorial Library is well worth the visit with the memorabilia of the US Air Force. Of particular interest is the visitors book with the large number of US visitors and what they say, check it out. Of more importance is the book of rememberance with the names of those who died for freedom during WW11. Each time I am in Norwich I read the names of the page on display. The least I can do.‬

‪Brought a lump to my throat‬

‪It was a need to use the computers that brought us to the main library inside the Forum in Norwich, England. On our way out we serendipitously spotted the sign for the U.S. Air Force Memorial Library. It is dedicated to the 7,000 U.S. Airmen who lost their lives in World War II. Even if you had no friends or family serving you will be touched by their collection of books and memorabilia.
It shows that the English are still grateful for our part in helping them in the war.‬

‪A "MUST SEE" for American Visitors‬
الأصدقاء • مايو 2014
‪Located within The Forum just off the historic market place in Norwich, this is part library and part museum. It was set up by the Veterans of the US military personnel who were stationed here during WWII as a living memorial to those who lost their lives here. Take time to speak to the staff, who will tell more of the fascinating history of "The Friendly Invasion". Through sponsership each year two students from the US get a grant to study at the UEA but in return they spend 10 hours a week helping out in the Library.‬

‪It's local history‬
مارس 2013
‪Local history believe it or not - learn more about the United States Army Air Force who were based in Norfolk and Suffolk. Were they really over paid, over sexed and over here? Two out of three are accurate... but which ones.‬

‪Steep yourself in our shared heritage...discover more than you thought‬
بمفردك • مارس 2012
‪Lodged within the splendid Forum setting on the ground floor level (so no stairs), the 2nd Air Division Memorial Library offers a tranquil space to discover our contemporary and recent history with our American cousins. Find out about our close liaisons and joint collaboration during the second-world war from those who served. Dip into the books, photographs, on-line facilities and individual research areas and all too soon you will be engrossed in our heritage and local involvement. This peaceful area also allows you to access the Forum Library files but in a far more personal setting. Knowledgeable, friendly staff and a wealth of USA information at your fingertips soon makes short work of a lunch hour!
Not all military orientated material in the Library either; easy to browse though different books about e.g. Sinatra in his youth, American film or music stars…or USA travel information.
I would definitely take the time to pop in and browse..… there is much more to it than meets the eye.‬
