Lovely little site exactly as advertised. The ranger was extremely helpful and gave us a pitch with close access to the broad for our canoe.

Lovely little basic campsite set back from the broad in the corner of a field. Wonderful sunsets over the broad. Camp fires possible using off the ground containers provided (bring your own wood or purchase from the warden?). Dawn coros of bird song. No cars on the field made it a lovely place to sit out and relax. People fishing (and catching) down on the the broad. Composting toilets are fine (don't drop your mobile down the pit) or portaloos. No washing up facilities but a tap and lots of lovely fresh air.
We also hired canoes (discount to campers) - brilliant trip across the broad and up river to nature reserve and board walk. Hoverton Great Broad is closed to boats to try and restore the natural habitat but you can see it from the lovely boardwalk. Nesting terns with chicks and great crested grebes, marsh harriers, and reed warblers. Friendly and helpful warden looking after the canoe hire. Our party ranged from 16 - 78 and all enjoyed the paddling.
For anyone interested in wildlife, I would recommend walking down the road to Bure Marshes and Cockshoot Broad where we saw a swallowtail butterfly.
Don't come if you want lots of facilities (although Hungry Otter coffee shack is on hand). Do come if you want peace and quiet and back to basics campsite in this lovely natural environment and a chance to hire a canoe.
(Note the access is a little complicated so read the email instructions carefully)

Great little campsite provided you're happy with minimal facilities (water and loos, plus small cafe shack in adjacent field and canoe/kayak hire if these float your boat so to speak). About 20 pitches, easy access to the broad to launch your own kayaks/SUPs, fishing etc if desired.
I've visited twice around midsummer and found it very quiet during the week outside the school holidays; both visits there was a group present on the saturday night that were a bit livelier into the evening - the rangers provide a mobile number to call if you're bothered by noise but I didn't feel the need.

Turned up to a very friendly instructor who ran us through everything we needed to know including rough timing and tips for where we wanted to head.
The kayaks are in great condition and easy to use. Most boats stayed out our way and were respectful with their speed, which helped! Note - you will get wet legs and probably feet - be prepared for that!
Really enjoyable time, easy to book and the process felt so easy! Will definitely be using these services again.

Moored here overnight while on weekend boating holiday (£10 for the night easily paid on salhouse website). Bins by campsite, toilets up by road (ten min walk from river), climbing frame, great grass areas/woods walks round the nature reserve accessed by river or road (car park at top by toilets). Dog bins dotted around. Coffee/snack cabin and canoe hire (both closed while we were there sunday morning).

Unsung boardwalk down to Salhouse broad. Boats mooring, small country walks and unexpected snack kiosk.

Promoted as being picturesque and dog-friendly. It is both, however it’s clearly of more value to boaters than walkers. We are glad we visited but we won’t return.

We love this place, so quiet and tranquil. You have the Fur and Feather (one of the best pubs on the broads) at the top of the hill, a few mins walk. If you moor a boat it will be £10. This is not a rip off, as others have said. This is for the upkeep and restoration of a private broad. Which I have no problem paying. If you are a large party of people, avoid as you will ruin it for others! Just stunning

Fabulous way to have fun on the Broads. Our party was aged 7 to 75 and we all loved it. Paddling up river to the nature reserve was a real treat. Good instructions and equipment provided.
