‪القباب المدخن القديم المناسب. تحتاج إلى الوصول إلى هناك مبكرًا حيث يتم بيعها بسرعة كبيرة. مختبئًا بعيدًا في شارع قديم بالقرب من 199 درجة وفي يوم عاصف تجذبك الرائحة. لن تشعر بخيبة أمل.‬

‪جوهرة حقيقية ، ومكان رائع حقًا. يقولون إن أفضل الأشياء تأتي في عبوات صغيرة ولا بد أنهم كانوا يفكرون في Fortune عندما قالوا ذلك. المتجر نفسه صغير ويعود إلى الأيام الماضية ، لكن جودة kippers رائعة (أو كما قيل لي - لست من محبي kippers ولكنني أعمل على التوقف والحصول على بعض لأمي التي تحب هم. إذا كنت تحب kippers ، فاحصل عليها من المدخن التقليدي الوحيد في Whitby ، بعد كل هذا أحد الأشياء التي تشتهر بها Whitby. تحقق من أوقات العمل ، واخذ النقود لأنها لا تأخذ بطاقات.‬

‪Proper old fashioned smoked kippers. You need to get there early as they sell very fast. Tucked away in a old street near the 199 steps and on a windy day the smell lures you up. You won't be Disappointed.‬

‪A real gem, and a truly amazing place. They say the best things come in small packages and they must've been thinking about Fortune's when they said it.

The shop itself is tiny and harks back to days gone by, but the quality of the kippers is outstanding (or so I'm told - not a fan of kippers but I make a point of stopping by and getting some for my mum who loves them.

If you love kippers, then get them from the only traditional smokehouse in Whitby, after all this one of the things Whitby is famous for.

Check the opening times, and take cash as they don't take cards.‬

‪I was walking up Henrietta Street when my nose led me (alley cat style) to the most amazing smoked kipper smell. Seeing the smoke shed open and the kippers hanging was cool. Then buying a pair, we had them in Sunday morning breakfast and they were without a doubt The. Best, Kippers. In. The. World......... Ever. Smokey but almost herbally fragrant, moist , plump. Just nom nom nom! Go, buy, eat.‬

‪Excellent online service and arrived within a couple of days‬

‪Saw the company during Hairy Bikers tv show as they travelled around enjoying different food. I had always wanted to visit and try the fish at the shop but rarely get to travel from the south west. Received an email when the company started an online service 1 Nov 21, I ordered my first delivery and arrived the same week. So looking forward to trying the fillets. Arrived by post and all sealed. Excellent service and very quick. I think it is great value for the size of the fish. Recommended for online if you can’t visit in person.‬

‪Lovely little place as you walk towards the little shop you can smell the smoke it’s lovely kippers bacon and pate lovely produce and great prices x‬

‪Telephoned to request order of Fortunes Bacon…..successful!
Purchase for ourselves and friends when returning home.
Fortunes reserved two 10oz packs for us for collection later that day.
Traditional fayre.
Long may they continue.‬

‪This place is worth a visit we bought kippers from here and they do live up to there reputation. It is only a small place and the kippers are £2.50 for a large kipper. We'll worth it if you like kippers. ‬

‪We were on a whistlestop tour of North Yorkshire several years ago and stopped in Whitby for a quick walkabout and found ourselves being drawn up the hill by the lovely smell. I must have looked like Oliver peering in, never seen a Kipper shop before (or since), but nobody else in our group wanted any. So in I go looking for just a single kipper to eat on the street as we were walking, and the guy behind the counter gave me one and wouldn't even take any money for it!!!. I will definitely be back for some more next time we're in the UK if/when Covid 19 finally gets finished.‬
