Extremely unreliable. Yet again, sat on a tram waiting for The Forest to clear the platform....... so this tram can terminate there. Only 4 stops away from my car!! Unless you are prepared to walk or get a taxi for part of the 'tram' journey I really wouldn't bother. Get the Trent Barton buses instead which ARE reliable. If you are visiting Nottm definitely DO NOT get the tram, it could take you an extra hour to get back to your car.

The NET Tram service in Nottingham has been excellent every time I've needed it... as a frequent visitor to the great city, for work and pleasure, the trams have been clean, reliable and safe. On occasions drivers have clearly held on for late arrivals to board as well, which is kind and courteous.
Buying tickets is quick, easy and without the need for apps, Smartphones or downloads.
Also, around the city, it was clear to see the NET facilities were kept clean and tidy too. At Old Market Square 'Dave with the Bandana' was hard at work, cleaning and tidying the platform area, whilst all around were at weekend play.
Chatting with Dave, he's clearly proud of his work for both NET and Nottingham; it's appreciated by this traveller very much... thanks Dave and all at NET Trams, Nottingham.

I can't really complain, the trams took us everywhere we wanted to go and the prices were decent. Like a single fare was 3 pounds, but a day ticket was 5. The trams are modern and the ride was always smooth and I had no problems. I have no idea how else to review a team system

We have to say how fabulous the Nottingham tram service is. My partner lives in Bulwell & we can tram into Nottingham City centre, tram to Hucknall & also straight into the QMC Hospital

I live in nottingham and I can tell you that the tram is a nightmare. They break down, they have lots of unexpected issues that they don’t know how to handle !
In a year they don’t operate for a total of 3months if you add up all of their « issues »
Really poor service and incompetent people. Go for the bus it’s cheaper and they are plenty for a same destination so no time loss !

Die Nottingham Tram besitzt zwei Linien - ungewöhnlich ohne Limiennummern -, die im Zentrum einen gemeinsamen Abschnitt bedienen und die Stadt sowie einige Vororte außerhalb zum Teil auf (ehemaligen) Eisenbahntrassen erschließen. Die Mitfahrt ist angenehm, man kommt dank augenscheinlich gut funktionierender Signalschaltungen flott voran, sieht viel von der Stadt und kommt zu allen Sehenswürdigkeiten gut hin. Mit Flexity von Bombardier und Citadis von Alstom sind zwei Fahtzeugtypen im Einsatz, man hat bei der Gestaltung aber auf ein einheitliches Fahrzeuglayout Wert gelegt, so dass das Nutzungsrechte einheitlich idt. Das Ticketing ist dank zahlreich vorhandener Fahrkartenautomaten auch ohne Handy-App unkompliziert, jedoch gibt es keinen Verkehrsverbund und man muss sich beim Kauf entscheiden, ob man Tickets nur für die Tram oder mit Aufpreis auch für die städtischen oder regionalen Busse wünscht. Die Haltestellen sind mit dynamischen Fahrtzielanzeigen und Wetterschutz ausgestattet und barrierefrei nutzbar. Einen Punkt Abzug gibt es von mir dafür, dass man vereinzelt komplett mit Werbe-Lochfolie über den Fenstern versehene Fahrzeuge sichten könnte. Einen solchen Wagen habe ich beim dichten Takt tagsüber dann fahren lassen.
Ansonsten als Fazit aber ein durch und durch vorbildliches Straßenbahn System, sehr gelungen.

I've taken the tram twice, once while visiting Nottingham years ago, and on a recent occasion when needing to get from A to B by public transport early on a Sunday morning. The buses started at 8:30, the tram at 6:00. Problem solved!
Apart from my own situation, the service seems superb, with services extremely frequent, which link both locations in Nottingham itself, and the city with outlying areas.

Convenient, cheap, fast and clean. It actually goes to all of the places that people want to visit, unlike soem bus services! I can't understand why more cities don't invest in a system like this.

Used today from toton into Nottingham Tuesday 14th March 2023 with wife daughter and 9 month old grandson. Been on many times since my first and last review many years ago. parked ok and got tickets ok.
What was annoying was on a very cold morning was the fact we had to wait about 20minutes for the tram to come, hence we were packed in like sardines. I have a mobility problem but thanks to a kind fella got a seat. Apart from that was ok and good value for money.

I FOUND THIS ANSWER ON GOOGLE
Yes as long as it was issued in Nottingham or Nottinghamshire. Only Nottingham City Council and Nottinghamshire County Council issued passes are valid for free travel on trams. Pass holders from other council areas need to purchase a concession return tram ticket from the tram stop ticket machines.
