What a fun time we had at Wellington Country Park Neverland Illuminations. It was brilliantly themed throughout and we enjoyed the adventures of Hope. Fantastic visuals which had a wide range of variations. Good for all ages. Particularly enjoyed the interactive parts. Thoroughly recommend.

Amazing things to do for the family, the prices seemed steep but were truly worth it. Staff were kind and helpful.

Charge full price an hour before closing. Rude staff. Extortionate food for poor quality. Pretty frustrating when you have had to pay fulll price for an hour.

Unfortunately we didn't get to go as my partner got Covid, and there is a strict no rescheduling policy for illness. Certainly worth noting before buying any tickets in advance - there is no chance of rescheduling. Family a little disappointed, but i didn't read the small print before booking.

Most parks have car parking fees, and some charge for entry as they have exciting activities that you can do for both adults and kids. Or they have staggered prices for either ages or entrance times. Therefore a cost can be justified. In this instance, the price is extortionate. Nearly £20 / person, including children regardless of their age and the time you arrive.
Don't get me wrong, the park and facilities are clean, but there is no way the price justifies what is offered. On top of that, the park closes before 6pm, so what is the purpose of having a "peak summer" price!
Coffee and snacks are the usual tourist prices, so no subsidy there.
Would I go again. At that price - NO. Would I recommend - NO. There are other parks that have better facilities and only charge car parking. Just for reference, I paid nearly £80 here for our family (2 adult and 2 teenage daughters) and I paid just under £5 for Irchester Country Park (near Wellingborough) for parking, and did virtually the same thing!
At least the staff were friendly, apart from the initial receptionist, who seemed really annoyed. Thankfully she moved away and a more polite receptionist took her place, whilst the transaction was taking place. Didn't reduce the price, but at least he was polite.
Summary - NO... Not at those prices!

Genuinely great for families with young children. Loads of different areas and loads of space; we went on a sunny Saturday and it never felt too busy. You could easily spend a couple of days here - we did - as the variety of areas means it doesn’t feel repetitive. Our son is coming up to 3 and nothing felt too big or unsuitable for him.
Must admit I partly want to write this after seeing Scribbles-in-Lincs’ review; their annoyance at having to pay for an attraction is amazing. I wouldn’t expect to walk around Alton Towers for nowt, breeze through Buckingham Palace on a freebie, or have a quick go on the London Eye without forking out some cash. If you’d spent even half as much time researching as you did leaving your review then you’d have worked out it’s not what you were after. You’d have also found a dozen actually suitable places within a 20-mile radius that you could have trudged round instead. Though maybe you’re too tight to pay for the mobile data.
Anyway, the park is great and everyone there seemed to be having a fantastic time.

Just returned from 3 nights camping at Wellington Country park.
PARK: amazing for little ones. It’s clearly fully designed for little ones under 8yrs. Loads to do with plenty of easy (and clean) toilet facilities everywhere; the many little parks were great, the dinosaurs were a good attraction, the train ride is well worth the extra £1, lasts around 5mins and two tunnels the kids get to scream through which was a hit! Animal farm, jumping pillow, and so so much more. The biggest hit was the splash zone. Really safe, easy to see the little ones even when busy. They loved it. One thing I was really impressed with was the cleanliness and maintenance of the park. The first day was very wet but it didn’t distract from the kids being able to access and play everything safely.
CAMPSITE: love that you are a few mins walk into the park from the site. We stayed in pitch 45. It was brilliant. Firm and stoney ground (we were in a campervan), huge pitch and even though it looked close to the elsen point, bins and loos, you would never know it. It even had a little private path straight to the shower/toilet block! The facilities were brilliantly maintained, cleaning was very regular and efficient. I’m a bit funny about site facilities and these were up there with some of the best we have stayed at. All staff were incredible. There was no noise after around 9pm but probably due to being aimed at young families! It was really different being able to camp in the middle of a forest too. Really made it memorable.
After 3 nights there, we had started to feel like we had done everything enough, not that our 4yr and 3yr agreed. They didn’t want to come home!
Such a great place. Pricier than some sites but you’re paying for the park access (which is 24hr, so it’s fantastic to get to use almost everything after it closes to the public too!). Highly recommended and I expect we will be back as my little humans haven’t stopped talking about how much they loved it yet!

A really good day out for young kids and families. Lots to do for a full day out with play parks, splash zone, train ride, bouncy castles and many other attractions. The petting zoo was well run and the staff friendly. Lots of places for adults to sit and picnic or watch their kids play. A great day had by all.

We were two adults, no children, staying in the area and had a few hours to spare. It was a pleasant day so, having heard there was a country park nearby, we decided to visit and have a walk by the lake, maybe followed by some lunch in the café.
When we reached the admissions desk, we were asked for £18.95 each! We explained that all we wanted was a walk in the fresh air but, no matter. That was the price for the day for everyone. We left and went elsewhere. We will not be returning.
Come on! I understand that people making use of the playgrounds, minigolf, splash zone, petting farm and other attractions will need to pay for their fun but £18.95 for a mere walk in the country is outrageous! This is rip-off Britain at its most blatant. Clearly, management are not interested in sensible people who would like to enjoy the "country" aspect of the country park but only in those who are willing to pay through the nose for theme park type activities.
Best avoided unless you're minted.

Took my two sons (2 and 5) for the day and met some friends as it’s a half way point between our two homes. Wow. It’s beautiful, so clean, well looked after, great outdoor playgrounds and great facilities! We loved the kids being active and outdoors all day.
We hardly moved from the entrance as they enjoyed the bounce pillow, tractor and dinosaurs, then the playground, then the sand and water area etc etc. we walked all the way around and ended at the splash park.
The weather started off wet but dried up and the kids got wet playing in water anyway.
My only gripe….the expense!!! All tickets are £18.95: two and up, all adults, even disabled children or adults….everyone is £18.95 and then you have to pay extras for the train, the animal feed, welly wheels…. I expected the train to be included in the cost and the welly wheels. Either charge less and let others pay extra for those things or include them in the very high price!
We bought some drinks and ice cream at the splash park kiosk and it cost over £20. It was a very expensive day for a park, as beautiful as it is!
We would love to visit again but unfortunately it’s not financially viable for us. Which is a shame!
If you’re wondering whether or not to visit; definitely save and go once at least! Was a lovely day out

It’s a guess, but I’d expect it’s okay, the plots are quite big per vehicle.

Would this be suitable for an 11/12 year old? I realise it says up to 8 year olds but is that a strict rule that is enforced or just a guide? I'm sure he'll enjoy it but not if he's not allowed on the play areas.
Thanks

No, most activities are aimed towards children up to 8. There are also signs place around the park that state ‘No children over 10’, for example the play park.
Crazy golf and the animals is about all that you could do with children over 10.
Hope this helps.
Good evening. Is there a petting session tomorrow(2.08.2019) with animals? And at what hours?
For what are the additional fees please write.?

Hi there, can you let me know in which cafes (Lakeside, Splash etc ) there are the gluten free options within the park.
Thanks,

Hi, I'm sorry, I'm not sure. There is one main cafe that does chips! My friend's daughter is coeliac and that always seems to be her fall back! Another smaller cafe has cold food which is mainly sandwiches but I didn't look at labels.
Sorry I couldn't help more.
