Fascinating visitor centre, cafe and locally made crafts for sale. Lots of tourist information brochures. Good selection of sweet and savoury snacks that were very reasonably priced. Well worth visiting and supporting.

Well worth a visit. This was originally a school house and had records of the area in the 1800s. We had a nice tea, including local specialities.

What a find. The staff were very welcoming. There were a good range of brochures and booklets about the area. The cafe was spotlessly clean and cool on a warm day. A good range of cakes and drinks along with various crafts available to buy. Some interesting pictures on the walls regarding the history of the area. Off the beaten track but well worth a detour. Thank you for being a high point of our visit.

Lovely home made cakes, reasonably priced food and drink with lovely staff. Lots of local crafts for sale and information around the old school and just down from the Stiperstones itself.

We visited this centre while on half term holiday in nearby church stoke,a lovely place for local crafts,gifts,stationairy and souveniers.The volunteers were very friendly and welcoming and were chatting to us.The cafe prices were reasonable,this place is closed from 31st oct for the season.

If there is anything nicer than a blustery autumn walk ,it is a blustery autumn walk followed by tea and cake ! We found this place by accident after visiting nearby Mitchells Fold and were made very welcome . Hard working volunteers , lovely home made cakes and most importantly a loo !! Brilliant place .

What a gem of a place. Lovely cream teas and wow the cakes are truly amazing. Great service and reasonably priced. Make sure you take time to read the history of the area.

The place is unique as it used to be a school and was converted into a visitor centre for The Bog which was a giant mining site from 1700s to 1922. It has a small cafe, info on the walking trails, free parking nearby, and bathrooms. The center also has some historical aspects such as a geological garden, historical photographs, and part of the aerial that used to haul the mine's product.

Volunteers have made this place what it is over the past few years and you are always made welcome here during it's summer opening hours. We visit 2-3 times a year for the best cuppa with homemade scones for miles around, the fruit cakes pretty good as well!
If family history is your thing there is a mass of information available if you have a family connection with this area.
