was given this from jake blake and very annoyed very long wait time was mid lunchly and kraken clear as the kraken use onomatepiya in tthe crossip drink and no parkinbg avalible so very bad would not recommend benjamin xavi balke as he is very annoying

Visited for a friend’s birthday. Waited more than half an hour for drinks despite there only being 8 other people in the place, so far from ‘busy’. When the single waiter and barman were approached after 30 minutes they were unapologetic and also on ordering patently did not know their products. Including - amazingly- the different types of gin on offer. 15 minutes after this when drinks eventually appeared in the very quiet bar, the barman chose to argue with paying customers about the service level saying he has done everything possible to keep us happy. 45 minutes without drinks in a far from busy bar does it constitute happiness! Furthermore, one of our group attended them ladies loo to find it in darkness and when this was reported was told ‘this is not our problem’. I asked where the manager was and was told he was not there. By this time it was obvious no one was actually in charge in the place. This is not representative of our previous experience here pre-Covid when we also thought this place was a hidden gem. I was frankly embarrassed to bring friends here and will not be returning. Absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had in a bar in Bury and I have no explanation for why this was the case other than incompetent staff left to their own devices by complacent management.

Sadly I’m writing a negative review, because my attempt to deal with the Stillery directly via email was ignored. We were overcharged by £30 (an extra round of drinks) that we never had. We only had two rounds, it should’ve been straight forward........

A ‘secret bar’ in the old ‘speakeasy’ style.
Brilliant atmosphere, reasonable prices, efficient and friendly staff - somewhere completely different in a samey world.
We will be back - obviously drinking responsibly!

Niall was brilliant all the way through the planning up to our large group descending on them. They were great on the night. Wonderful place, cosy, funky and all the things you would want from a gin bar. Cocktails were amazing and we had a great time.thanks so much.highly recommended

Just been for a cocktail making course, fantastic! The cocktails on the menu are also first rate, actually some of the best drinks I've ever had, and I've had a lot of drinks! If you want somewhere special to go, this is the place!

Thank you to Tim for a fab 3 hours last Friday where with my sister-in-law and mother-in-law we had Tim enthusiastically talk to us about the history of Gin, he got us tasting and drinking plenty of gin and then finally we got to blend our own bottle each. Our recipes are kept so if we want another bottle at a later date we can order.
Tim’s passion for all things Gin and Cocktails is extremely contagious in a good way. We had a fun evening and will definitely be back for a cocktail evening class.

My friend booked us on the "Cocktillian" class on Saturday night and it was absolutely fantastic. We were given a two hour private lesson on gin and each got to make a number of delicious gin cocktails like the Bramble, White Lady, Negroni, Tom Collins etc...
The bar is small and intimate and the atmosphere is lovely.
By far the best bar I've been to in Bury and will definitely be going back!

Having not been to the Stillery I did not know what to expect but the venue was small but cosy, our host Tim was great, we were a group of ladies so he did not have an easy time! The information he provided on gin and the history was excellent and the tasting and making of different gin cocktails was great fun along with informative too.
