‪Ghost walk?? More like a history tour. Our 'guide' kept forgetting his stories & left us in the middle of a cemetery in the pitch black as he 'had a train to catch'. Very unsafe and dissapointing‬

‪Graveyard ghost walk Ok - not great‬

‪Ian conducted the tour, all in all it was better then staying in however I couldn’t give it 4 or 5 stars as it does not come as near as good as tours in other city’s e.g Edinburgh/Dublin. The best bits were when factual history was brought to light (hanging story, colmore family, grave snatching) and these were intertwined with the ghost story. But in general the delivery was poor, lacking structure to the stories. At times punch lines were delivered at the start and the context and background half way through. It was all a bit strange. This resulted in repeating bits of the story and loosing the mood of the night. Majority of the people left before the end however Ian does have interesting story’s. Please improve the structure and deliver at a nice punchy pace. This tour would have been a better experience if it was condensed to just the quality stories and shortened to 1hr 15min. Telling us you don’t know how true the story is several times during every story is a mood kill...I get it ....you doubt your own stories credibility but please let us make up our own mind. Sometimes less is more. Best of luck, I hope this is helpful. You have the foundation to make this a 5 star tour. ‬

‪You don't have to believe in ghosts‬

‪We'd previously been on the City walk but wanted to do the ghost walk as well. There were about 20 of us who joined Ian on a damp Friday evening. He is very entertaining and told many tales of Birmingham and its past history which is interesting, even if you don't believe in the ghost bit! You start at the cathedral and walk down to the Jewellery Quarter stopping several times on the way. You are told about the old city graves that would have been outside the city at the time, learn about the only man hanged in Birmingham and then make your way to the cemetery by the Jewellery Quarter. Only £8 each for at least 2 hours entertainment - great value. He only does this once a month and does get booked up so it's very popular.‬

‪I would like to say that Birmingham is completely a different city when Ghost Tours are being conducted particularly in the city centre. It was a great nigh out and full of entertainment with plenty of ghost stories to tell as we moved to different locations in Jewerlly quarter and in the city centre. By far the best experience I have had in getting to know the city's heritage. Great Tour Guide with plenty of knowledge and experience behind him to tell various ghost stories. I would recommend anyone to book Birmingham GhostWalk with Midland Discovery Tours.‬

‪See Birmingham from a different angle - the Ghost Tours‬

‪I had had a leaflet about the Birmingham Ghost Tours for ages and finally booked the Sinister Tour recently which was great fun. Having lived in Birmingham for many years, you think that you would know about your city but no - you need the knowledge of one of the 2 guides, Michael or Ian to help you. Loads of information was given about the heritage of this great city together with the sinister background. There are two tours to choose from - the Sinister Tour on the 3rd Friday of each month and the Graveyard Tour on the 1st Friday on each month, The first one meets at the Council House steps and the other meets at the Cathedral. At £8 for each adult for a 2 hour tour, I thought that this was really good value. Both start at 8pm and can be easily booked online. There is a bit of walking obviously but nothing too strenuous as the Sinister Tour is based upon the square mile that made up the heart of the Victorian City.
I'm looking forward to going on the Graveyard Tour as some stage this year.‬
