Absolutely shocking to not have the air-conditioning functioning a heatwave! We shouldn't have been sweating while fanning and struggling to keep hydrated while sat stationary in a venue in the UK. Not acceptable!
The venue was fantastic for the event in regards to space, capacity, facilities, location and the price of the ticket was very reasonable.
The staff at the venue, from the security to the bar staff to the ushers and the baristas at Starbucks were really helpful and friendly.

British open brass band championships!!
Birmingham is bathing in temperatures of 28degrees (BBC) and the hall is boiling - NO AIR CONDITIONING ON!! Absolute madness!!! Band 15 about to play at 5.30pm and three more after that. A total disgrace Birmingham!😡

The view of the main hall is so amazing. I was lucky enough to catch a free concert in the cafe and then on my request I was given the tour of the main hall by Mr. Saeed. Amazing personality and great to talk to. He gave some insight about the history of the place and spoke about our interests, family etc. If you have an artistic personality this is your place!

Deemed by experts to have the finest acoustics of any such in the UK, it is a remarkable performance venue.
A further accolade was had in 2001 when a 6000 pipe organ was installed.

A massive Thankyou to the staff at Bonnie Raitt concert last night 15/6/2023 You could not have been more helpful. as a person with a disability it was a pleasure to visit this venue.

What a lovely place to see a show. Big airy and goof leg room. Nice modern venue with good facilities.

Visited here 6 times now and never been disappointed. The acoustics are wonderful and the seating arrangement gives excellent views of the stage.
My only criticism is that the seats are not comfortable - they are very hard. - not easy to sit on for over 2 hours with a spinal disability.

Attended a fantastic concert, Giovanni, Made in Italy, amazing performance could not fault. Symphony Hall team were brilliant, so friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the ladies toilet facilities are a disgrace. There were queues on three levels nearly back to entrance area. Disabled toilets also had queues. So bad some ladies standing guard outside gents whilst ladies used. The Symphony Hall is said to be a prestigious venue, sadly if they cannot provide ladies toilet facilities this drags them down. Many less able and. Dry elderly ladies out for a special treat we’re anxious at not being able to get any where near the facilities before second half of show, the same was found at the end. It was quicker to walk up to Brindley Place.
Ladies did not have time and were reluctant to buy drinks, ice creams etc due to toilet facilities and being late back to show. What an absolute disgrace. The Symphony Hall are not only risking health and safety of customers but also losing out on drinks revenue. Something must be done to improve this lack of customer care and responsibility. When children are attending it is usually the mother’s taking too.

great show for xmas only problem was caused by train strike and cancellations which rather spoilt the evening other than that great show and venue

Sorry if asked before, but my BIL is 6'5 and looking for advice on best seats with good legroom.

I've never had any issues with legroom but I'm 5 '7'. Excellent leg room would probably suit your BIL would be stalls near one of the doors, end of row, which is where I sat and you could stretch your legs out.
