Transportation: If you're coming from another city, you can buy a Railcard. Most locals use the Oyster card, but I bought a Railcard on TrainPal. Although it's a bit more hassle, it's much cheaper. You can get a 20% discount by entering RC777E on TrainPal. It's a great deal, so why not take advantage of it!

We enjoyed a spectacular evening at Symphony Hall, surrounded by stunning architectural and exceptional acoustics. The world-class orchestra delivered a breathtaking performance, leaving us in awe.

when to see a show the hall was great and food in the resturant was lovely and the venue was awesome and the value for the show was good

Attended the Hans Zimmer concert by the CBSO. An excellent evening. Great venue. Plenty of staff to assist. Even thoug we are quite a distance away, our second concert here. Will monitor whats on in the future.

Had an amazing time at the Symphony Hall to see Miriam margoyles, special thanks to the very attentive staff , they made sure I knew exactly where to go and sit, and also informed me of a ‘safe space’ ( I have autism) where if you get overwhelmed with noise, lights etc , there’s a room you can sit in that is dark and quiet but still enjoy the show. I think that is wonderful! The seats are comfortable and leg room is good! ( I was in the stalls row E) . I had really great time, thank you to all of the staff who work so hard!

We went to see Alfie Boe and had the Champagne Experience. We thought that it was good value for money and also very enjoyable. The staff weee friendly and helpful and added to the experience.
It was in a separate room and perhaps a little more could be done in terms of food or better snacks. It would increase the price but I do believe it would be an improvement

I totally agree with Gerald’s from Wolverhampton comments on Dionne Warwick
It was dreadful sat in circle and couldn’t understand her she mumbled only two songs in the first half
Such a shame we went to hear her old songs over the years and extremely disappointed we left in the interval
What a waste of money
Shame on you symphony hall for allowing this “chat show” don’t make me over I fell we were made over !

We went to see Dione Warwick because we have always been fans of her music since the sixties we were very disoriented has we at to sit for three hours of her life like a documentary I went to hear her sing not to listin a boat her life we sat for three hours got 7 songs very disappointing as this was to be her last ever show it one I won’t remember much as I’ve seen her three times before I now she’s 83 but I dident won’t to sit there listing a boat her life

Booking tickets online was easy and email information ahead of the show was good. Friendly staff on the doors/checking tickets, however one of the bar staff who served us was rude and very unfriendly. Food & drinks were expensive at £15 just for bottled water, a coffee, some crisps and small pack of biscuits! Decent amount of toilets, but the ladies’ were very tightly packed which made it difficult to manoeuvre around in there and access the hand dryers.
We were very pleased with the view from our seats, and the 18-30 tickets were amazing value. However, the individual seats where we sat were fitted, which meant they were very tight if you had large hips/thighs so that was uncomfortable. Aside from that, the show was really good! We attended May the Fourth - A Star Wars Celebration. It was great to hear iconic pieces of music from the world-famous films, played by the extremely talented orchestra and led by an animated conductor. Some cameos from Star Wars characters too. My Mum and brother especially loved the experience as they are lifelong Star Wars fans! It was a shame there were no posters displayed to promote or indicate what the event was as that would have added to the excitement.
Felt rushed after the show as staff kept trying to usher us out/saying that we needed to leave because they were closing. We had only popped to the toilets briefly on the way out, so I found this attitude from the staff to be rude, unnecessary and inhospitable! This left a sour taste at the end of a lovely evening. Would definitely return to this venue, however I would hope for more polite staff to be working there on any future visits!

Sorry for the late response.
I believe there are a few disabled parking spaces, much in demand, which I assume must be very close.
Personally, I get the tram from Grand Central and the walk from the nearest stop to the entrance is quite short, but involves crossing the road (not busy).
Please check with the various Birmingham websites but I understand there is no drop off / collection point immediately nearby as Broad Street is now a “red route” with no stopping allowed for motorists.

I've never had any issues with legroom but I'm 5 '7'. Excellent leg room would probably suit your BIL would be stalls near one of the doors, end of row, which is where I sat and you could stretch your legs out.
