Have be coming here on and off for 40 years and it has been a lovely place to visit , however went today and it was really dreadful and depressing , seems to be
Just loads of wasteland and hardly any animals
Just mainly small monkeys , no children’s area where there used to be rabbits and Guinea pigs ,
Just one merecat sharing a cage with a porcupine
Everything looked shabby and uncared for
We heard a strange sort of screaming sound
Coming from one of the enclosures
And on working out way round found the lynx
Tearing apart a grey rabbit (was he put there?)
It was awful to see
And children around watching this
Was utterly disgusted
For the price they charge it was a utter disgrace
Will never visit there again

We visited last weekend and loved it! The animals were really well looked after, we especially enjoyed seeing the wallaby (with her baby!) and the porcupine.
The staff in gift shop were very friendly, we can’t wait to come and visit again.

Ohhhh what a shame.
I was hoping that from the name it would be a place where the only animals that were here, were here as part of a conservation project but thats really not the case.
The majority of the place is small monkeys that are in small rooms and are overcrowded with very little to do.
Their are large flightless birds in small muddy paddocks and big birds that don’t have the room to stretch their wings.
We didn’t enjoy the experience and came out after 15 minutes it was depressing to see and I thought we had moved away from keeping animals especially highly intelligent monkeys for people to stare at.
Such a shame I thought we had moved away from this way of animal husbandry in 2023.

Lovely place to go with the family. A variety of interesting animals in spacious enclosures. Nice kids playground too. Plenty of picnic areas and benches.
You do have to pay to park so take exact change or you can pay on your phone.

A small zoo but well worth a visit. A varied collection of animals and lots of helpful information.
Good car parking. And next to the MAC which is also worth a visit.

I really wanted to like this place. What's there is good to see (but it isn't much). Very tired and many empty enclosures. Needs some serious investment.
Went pre-covid with a 1 year old and it was limited but she enjoyed it, this time it really seemed quite empty and many animals seen previously were missing with no explanation. I'm sure they do good work with very limited resorces and it's fairly cheap to get in but really it's quite disappointing.

Lovely receptionists to greet us even after we realisied we booked for the wrong zoo ! (Soon solved it). It was a very raining morning so alot of the animals were away at first but we expected this so we made sure we did a couple laps of the zoo and we saw every animal they had which were very interesting and uncommon species! The nocturnal and reptile houses were lovely and the komoda dragon enclosure was great ! All animals looks loved and well cared for! Would be lovely for a few hours or a day with young children ! Only one disappointment which was the restaurant, not alot to offer and very little atmosphere with no music and unfortunately as a vegetarian i was given a meat pasty by mistake. But if you were to bring your own food and sat out on a bench it would make for a much more enjoyable day (we just didnt plan that far ahead) definitely would recommend.

We visited today after visiting Stat city for lunch and desserts. This place is cheap compared to other conservation places although it’s rather small in comparison.
The soft toys were a little over priced but considering price to enter we bought two for £24. They have to make profit somewhere!
We didn’t get drinks or icecream as we had our fill at Star City. There was food places. You can away eat at MAC at the park.
Some horrible low brow people tried to have an argument with my husband during our visit. His wife / girlfriend who was no oil. We had forget these angry type people exist! Thankfully they didn’t ruin our experience as we avoided them even though they choose to come near us.
Other than that we had a lovely time looking at animals. We even went over to the park next door. We saw red Pandas, a Euroasian lynx, lemurs. Monkeys. There was no sloths 🦥 and my daughter wasn’t impressed.
I like the conservation park for the price it’s fine. I preferred the Bristol one as it costs more and it’s keeps riff raff out.

Allow 2-3 hours for visiting this park. Entry fee is reasonable, the staff were all pleasant when I visited and were happy to answer any questions I had.
I was delighted to have seen the Red Panda as there is only one, he was hidden out of sight at first but woke for some food and I spent some time admiring him.
The park itself is laid out well and you do get a map upon arrival.
I'd recommend this place to anyone, especially with kids, would be the perfect morning or afternoon outing.
Some of the animals were hidden away and unfortunately I didn't get to see them, but this is not a fault of the park, that's just nature for you! Please be mindful of that, you're not guaranteed to see everything.

A nice escape right next to the city. It's a lovely park with a lot of enclosures, although they are packed in close together so the total space is not huge. Easy enough to get around all the enclosures and have lunch in a couple of hours. I was there on a very hot day and it was lovely that most of the paths and tables were in shade. Most enclosures can be viewed from more than one side which is good. Was great to see the lynx, lots of gibbons and the kimodo dragon. Would have been nice to have some more specific information about indivudual animals, such as their age, history etc, rather than just the generic information boards. But a nice place and good value for what it is. Animals looked well cared for and lots of nice picnic places.

Hi, unfortunately we do not have disabled car parking onsite. However there are disabled bays allocated on the car park which is directly adjacent to the wildlife park. We hope you have a lovely visit.

It is only a small area not a lot to see or do but you can be there for an hour or two enough time to have a look around have lunch its ok maybe to see just the once this is my personal opinion of the place

Currently we do not offer a 'meet the animal' experience although this is being reviewed. Please keep checking on our web page for updates. The wildlife park feed all the animals within our care specific, scientifically based diets to offer them optimum health. Unfortunately we don't allow visitors to feed any of our animals.

Hi Nadia, We have a cafeteria on-site where you can enjoy a variety of hot and cold meals and drinks. The menu offers small snacks to full main courses. There is also an indoor play area contained within the cafe for our younger children.
On the 22nd and 23rd of December there will be a 'Christmas' event in the children's activity centre. 'Meeting Santa' is a free event although normal admission charges apply.
We hope you have a lovely visit, getting up close and personal with some of the worlds most endangered species.
