Once having placed an order for two bottles of whisky & relevant costs taken from my account, two days later an email was received confirming the order could not be fulfilled. However...
Instead of cancelling the payment with the bank, they accepted the payment and "issued a refund" saying that, it might take two weeks for it to be received back.
An email directed to the business owners questioning why this happened , why no alternatives were offered, what happened to the stock they did have (as after all they placed it for sale) & why they claim there was an "explosion of interest" overnight, when the whisky was popular several weeks before...
Today, even after a reminder there still has been no response.
This is The drinks Emporium experience!

They should communicate with customers better!! We were left with no explication to why our bottles had been refunded and then were expected to wait 10 days for a refund…. These were Christmas presents!

My friend had a groupon voucher and kindly invited me along. We got a taxi (very good service from Uber) as this isn't an easy place to get to. Luckily we managed to bag a lift home from my hub.
Anyway, once inside we were greeted by Mark, who tried to sit us on quite high bar stools - sorry Mark no can do, not with our backs. He swiftly found us some comfy chairs and we settled down for an interesting 2 hours. You do need to like wine obviously and be aware that no food is offered during the session. Mark was charming and engaging.
There was no hard sell and you can browse at your leisure, they do sell lots of drinks of all kinds, not just wine. A very interesting selection, some rare bottles.
Worth a try if this appeals to you, but do be aware of the seating arrangements.

Mark is so knowledgeable and made the wine tasting so much fun, and I left feeling a bit tipsy! What more can you ask for! Fully recommend!

We visited this afternoon and had a tremendous time - very entertaining and lots of lessons were learnt. Mark was a superb host and very accommodating. The wines were brilliant and Mark was able to highlight their differences. Mark answered all the questions that were raised. We bought some wines which we will try in due course. In fact Mark had our choice of wines all ready before we had asked for them. We would definitely make a return visit and may well try the gin and/ or champagne tasting sessions next time. Well worth a visit!!

Very relaxed and unpretentious couple of hours. Found out loads about production and tasting, trying several very different champagnes. Lovely host. Thoroughly recommend.

Mark was great from the outset. I had made an admin error and he still managed to accommodate me and my mother to the event which was very kind of him. The day started relaxed and Mark really is extremely knowledgeable about all things wine, he welcomed questions and was highly fun to be around. We tried 6 wines and thoroughly enjoyed them all, enough to purchase 2 bottles of which I was shocked at how reasonably priced they were. All in all a fabulous treat for my mom, I will be coming back to try the champagne tasting for sure! Thank you again Mark. Siobhan.

Absolutely fantastic experience hosted by Mark. A perfect blend of nice wine, good fun, educational and thoroughly enjoyable. Having been to a few of these this was without doubt the best one and all credit to Mark for how he made it a really good experience. Brilliant value for money and will definitely be going to their other events.

This was our second time and we loved it even more than the first. Mark is lovely. Anything he doesn’t know about wine isn’t worth knowing! We tried 6 wines, 3 white and 3 red and then picked our favourites. We even got some tips about ordering from a wine list in a restaurant. It was not rushed and there was plenty of time for questions and mooching around the shop afterwards.
