very spookie in one but i like that if you are not scared go on a town hlall tour and find out which cell is haunted visit if you dare

I underwent bowel cancer surgery a very few months ago. I am not looking for sympathy. But I was looking for a loo when I was in the Town Hall today. I found one below ground level. It was dirty. It was unclean. It had no toilet seat. Need I go on. If people are expected to visit then you are expected to keep the facilities clean and usable.

I went there for a wedding and i must say it was a lovely day i just wish the person who did the ceremony smiled haha and the carpet wasn't so mucky

with a clock that chimes as from 7 am. Covered in scaffolding at the moment but you can imagine the majesty of the building with its columns and high clock tower.

It was so nice to return to the venue that my son got married a few years ago!
This place is awesome, and really well maintained.
If you’re ever in Leeds you must call in and take a look at the magnificent architecture.

Appalling service from the box office. Failed to issue the tickets for an event, despite being contacted by email several times. Eventually called by phone, after waiting for over 2 hours on hold they had still not answered.

Without a shadow of a doubt Leeds Town Hall is the most famous landmark in this city.
Constructed between 1853 - 1858 from designs from Cuthbert Broderick, it was actually opened by Queen Victoria ,its a Grade I listed building and now serves as a concert,conference and wedding venue.
I loved the look of the building, the impressive clock faced tower is such an iconic landmark especially at night when illuminated, I believe its the most photographed building in this vibrant city ,high praise indeed as this city has so many stunning buildings, its most definitely well worth checking out if you're planning a trip to Leeds and easy to locate along The Headrow.

I had no idea Leeds had such a magnificent town hall, very evocative of imperial Britain with lion statues outside etc. Really worth taking a bit of time out to have a look around if you’re in town.

Take a few minutes out on your trip to Leeds to take a look at their Town Hall. Steeped in history, and architecture to blow your mind, this grand building has to be one of the stand out features of this fantastic city.

Is there a bar open at Leeds Town Hall during rock concerts there?

I am not sure that a rock concert would be held there,that would probably be at the arena.

Are the front seats in the stalls the best seats . Sometimes if it's too near the stage you can get a stuff neck!?

The best seats are upstairs. The stalls are not tiered so every one is sat at the same level. I would recommend upstairs as its just as a theatre would be. The Victoria hall is used for all sorts of events and concerts, including the counting of votes.

We want to attend a concert and sit upstairs but one of our party is disabled. Is there easy access to the balcony? ie a lift?

Hi Anita
There is a lift from the ground floor up to the gallery, however, as the lift is not usable during an emergency evacuation, we only recommend gallery seating to those who can evacuate down the stairs in case of emergency. I hope this information helps.
