Spectacular tower in the middle of lush countryside. The audio guide was very informative with an interview with the daughter of the private owners of the tower with a romantic backstory. The tower was a residence and each floor showcases a new room with the outdoor bath right at the very top of the tower! So very cool. What a view from the top! Absolutely stunning.
We also did the nuclear bunker tour which is open only on weekends as it is run by volunteers. It was really interesting and worth the visit. Thanks to Kevin and Mark for their time and knowledge (Kevin served in the bunker when it was operational)!
The grounds around are well kept and a place for families and couples to enjoy. We ate at the cafe and the food was delicious. 5 stars. Well worth the visit!

A surprisingly large estate filled with decent walks and a few shops as well as restaurants, the tower and the nuclear bunker, we had a combined ticket for all of it although I believe the bunker is only open on selected dates.
That’s what we started off with, and after a look at the small museum and introductory talk, we descended in to the depths. It’s quite a narrow shaft and you do have to climb up over a ledge to get to it, so you need to be reasonably agile and of course, not claustrophobic. Once we got down there it was surprisingly small, with a couple of bunks at the end of the control room and quite literally, a cupboard with a bucket in for the loo. There was no water, sewage or even electricity and the thought of having to spend three or four weeks down there must have been horrifying, although fortunately it never came to that. We had an interesting talk about how the post was manned as well as what would have happened if the bomb had dropped.
Next we went up the tower which gave great views from the top in all directions. The rest of the tower was impressive in a way, many of these types of structures are largely derelict, or at least have very little within, but this had quite grand drawings rooms like you might get in a National Truust property, although on a slightly smaller scale. Whilst it was interesting to see it, I think if I’d just been paying for this I might have been slightly disappointed and we didn’t spend that long there.
There are two café’s, but the largely of the two had very little in the way of cakes which is all we were after, quite a limited selection with no sponges, for example, so we left that and found a smaller one slightly more off the beaten track which strangely had a much better selection. I very much enjoyed my fruit and marzipan cake and the latte was pretty good too, although the young waitresses seemed pretty clueless having to continually be given every instruction by the supervisor. We had a quick wander around the adjacent shop, but it seemed a little expensive and there was nothing that really appealed, before concluding our visit with the circular walk which was very pleasant.

Iconic building overlooking the surrounding countryside, it looks like a fake castle and in fact it is: it was built in the 18th century for monumental and commemorative purposes, it never had any use as a castle. Inside a shop and three living room-type rooms, one on top of the other, furnished in nineteenth-century style. The architecture is graceful and interesting, with a star-shaped symmetry and neo-Gothic decorations. Definitely dreamlike yet the flaw is there: the entrance fee is decidedly disproportionate for a visit of a few minutes, and you also pay for parking.

The last time we went here it was just an open field with a folly tower in a dramatic position. Well now it has been transformed to a most modern visitor centre with smart cafes.......drive right through and down to the Tower Barn, excellent food service and new architect extension to the barn.

Complete rip-off. They charge a *lot* to just wander to another shop where you *might* see deer. If you just want to go to the tower base, you don't need to pay, as it's public land, but they will not tell you.

The interior of the Tower itself, I thought, was interesting with lovely decor. The view of the surrounding countryside from the roof is beautiful. Views of the exterior of the tower are magnificent. Loved the deer also. Nice place for a stroll around. The only downfall is public transport drops you off in the middle of a busy main road, and you then have to walk down a rather long road with no footpath to the tower. Also, the bus stop (which was not actually signposted) would be a terrible place to stand and wait for your bus home given its location in the middle of a busy road. Luckily, I managed to get an Uber for the journey back.

Interesting place to visit. Nice for a stroll around and cafes had a nice selection of coffees, teas and cakes. The tower itself is lovingly restored and the audio tour very interesting. Views from the top of the tower were excellent even though it was an overcast day. We did this in half a day, visiting a local National Trust property too in the same day.

We traveled from Windsor to start here the tour of the majestic villages in the area, the place is nice, but for us it was not worth it, the view from the tower is quite beautiful part of the countryside.
On site there are some deer and trails, as well as a cafeteria and toilet. On the trip you can see very nice places.

Interesting to see, BUT at 14 Pds PP to walk up 3 flights of stairs, its extremely expensive. You can get a view of the surrounds from the base of the tower, which costs noting.
The tower was built some time ago and therefore the stairs are narrow with low head room, makes it hard for larger and taller folks to access.

Is it possible to walk to Broadway tower from the train stop where the GWSR stops?
كُتب بتاريخ 30 أغسطس 2023
Hi, yes it is possible to walk to Broadway Tower but it is a nice long walk .
كُتب بتاريخ 30 أغسطس 2023
How long does it take to walk up from Broadway village? Does the path go through sheep or cow fields? Also, alot of people on here are saying you can park on the road near the tower - is this true? As it did not look like a safe place to park.
كُتب بتاريخ 5 أغسطس 2022
If you’re driving anyway, why not just park at the Broadway Tower welcome center. If I recall correctly parking was £3. Pay and display. Safe and convenient.

As an amateur photographer who holds a caa recognised A2 certificate of competency for drone flights I also hold public liability insurance I would very much like to photograph the tower from the air
Would this be possible ?

Hi. The £2 car park charge - is this redeemable against the £5 tower entrance charge? Or just the café/gift shop. Thanks
كُتب بتاريخ 13 سبتمبر 2018
The parking charge can be redeemed against a minimum spend of £5 whether it is admission tickets, gifts or food at the Morris & brown cafe.

We plan to visit after 7 to have sunset view. Is the car park still open then? Are we allowed to get close to the tower? Thank you!
كُتب بتاريخ 3 أغسطس 2018
The car park is closed at 5:30 pm, but you can park in the lay-by just outside and walk up to the tower

Access after 5pm is restricted to public footpaths only and we ask that these are adheres to. The car park will also be closed after 5pm but there is a highway lay-by opposite the main gates for your car.

Ciao! Come è possibile arrivare alla torre da Broadway se si è senza macchina?grazie
كُتب بتاريخ 7 فبراير 2018
There is a train connection to Moreton in Marsh but you will still need a taxi. Walking is possible from Broadway or Snowshill. Sadly there is no public transport to Broadway Tower.

I will directly arrive to Broadway tower and park my car. Can I find a Broadway guide there to decide what to do after seeing the tower ? Any recommends on the next attractions in Broadway ? Thanks
كُتب بتاريخ 9 أغسطس 2017
Definitely include a visit to the village of Broadway after a walk into town via the Cotswold Way. The village is stunning and places of interest include the Gordon Russell Museum, The Ashmolean Museum and attractive shops & galleries.

Hello. If I had intention just to visit the tower poretty promptly-how much would it take time wise? I mean - parking, buying ticket, visiting quickly? Thank you.
كُتب بتاريخ 14 أكتوبر 2016
Is quite a small place . I think 30 min will be more than enough with the parking and visiting. For the parking you have to pay a charge but you can park on the road for free. The ticket to visit the tower is 5£.
