Extremely steep hills that for the chronically unfit like me was a slight challenge to begin with, it actually gets better the further up you get!
Wouldn’t be suitable for those with mobility issues or small children.
That being said even I managed it in about 30 minutes from the car park to the top.
You are rewarded with the most beautiful views on a clear day. It was very windy but that did not minimise the enjoyment at all. Parking is reasonable at under £6 for an entire day. It is very easy to continue the walk onwards to other beacons but we were a little strapped for time so couldn’t continue. There is a nice little outdoor cafe and restaurant/hotel opposite the car park at the bottom also.
Would happily go again and would recommend to anyone staying in the area.

Park by Malver Hills hotel on Malvern Ledbury road, Choice of paths to summit, map board in carpark. Views of the Malvern Hills range, Herefordshire and Worcestershire and the reservoir (very low indeed when we climbed).

Fantastic views short but steep climb
Good car park at bottom even if pricy £4:80 per day when most people will stay 2 hrs
Nice cafe / kiosk in car park

This would suit a lot of people who like to be able to drive to a place, explore it and leave. There are car parks nearby (British Camp), and a hotel and coffee shop too.

Fantastic trail from AllTrails app that we followed. Moderate difficulty but nothing very tough. My 5 YO and 10 YO managed quite well even with the elevation.
The path leads you from the car park down by the side of the reservoir over to Gullet Quarry and then climbs up towards the peak.
It was a great day and the path wasn’t really muddy but can imagine how it would be on wet days. So good shoes are a must.
As you reach the top the path through the woods keeps you cool and the incline is very gradual.
Views from the top are breathtaking. Very windy and refreshing.
We spent around 4-5 hours doing the trail. There are straight paths up to the beacon from the British Camp Fort car park which are shorter and quicker. But if you want to experience the area and the hike, I would recommend the trail walk.

Amazing views from the top of here. I would suggest to anyone to make the effort and go. It's quite steep but after the big climb the views make it all worth it.

. We started at Wyche and navigated to the Hertfordshire bea con and British Camp. A very invigorating walk with panaramic views

You can see Birmingham, the Cotswolds, and even Abergavenny from here on a good day. Incorporate it into one of the many well marked and good surface walks in the Malvern Hills.

Are you thinking of visiting a hill in Malvern.
Then, by jingo this one is the second best there is, so give it a go.
It's quite steep on the way up, as you would expect from a hill.
Its also quite steep on the way down, but then you cant hve everything.
Unsuprisingly, from the top there's a view, which is nice.
So, in summary, a hill, in Malvern. Only bettered by the neighbouring Worcestershire Beacon. Which, to be honest, is the one to choose if you can only climb one.

There is a nice circular route taking in the beacon, Midsummer hill and Swinyard hill. There are lower, easier paths with gradual inclines and no steps or the main route with some stone steps and a steeper paths to the top and along thd ridge. Wonderful views on a clear day.
