Terrible Experience at XXX Bar
I had an awful experience at XXX Bar recently. The place itself is in poor condition, with holes in the sofas that make it uncomfortable to sit and relax. It’s clear that they haven’t invested in maintaining the place, which doesn’t inspire much confidence in the rest of their service.
What really ruined the night, though, was the behavior of one of the staff members. There was an argument happening between some people outside the bar—completely unrelated to the staff or the bar itself. Instead of staying out of it or trying to de-escalate the situation, this woman staff member decided to jump in and involve herself, making things much worse. Shockingly, she was swearing loudly, even though there were kids around. Her behavior was completely unprofessional and inappropriate, turning what should have been a private issue into an even bigger, more unpleasant scene.
As for the drinks, they were just okay—nothing special. However, they seemed watered down, which was disappointing considering the prices.
If you’re looking for a place to enjoy a peaceful night out, especially if you have children with you, I’d strongly suggest steering clear of XXX Bar. The environment is shabby, the drinks are subpar, and the staff’s unprofessional and inappropriate behavior just adds to the unpleasant experience.

Great bar, proper cocktails - staff excellent. Music good and selection of cocktails amazing guy behind the bar knew his stuff. Friendly vibrant bar

I love this bar and visit it quite regularly. The staff are brilliant, so welcoming and cocktails are also fab. I have only one criticism- the toilets! They are connected to Filthy's, a venue that really lives up to it's name. They need a complete overhaul oh, and to be cleaned regularly. I feel genuinely dirty having used them. Please sort out this issue as I adore this wonderful Belfast bar!

Really funky cocktail bar with bar staff who know how to make them. Relaxed and chilled out in here; we had a great time having pre-dinner drinks and would absolutely recommend you go.

It was very quiet when we visited early on a friday evening, we chose our seats and a waitress brought us menus and water. We stayed here for over an hour and each enjoyed a couple of beautiful crafted cocktails from the extensive cocktail menu - I'm not sure if I've ever seen a bigger cocktail selection!!
The red lighting in the back seating area made for some strange photos! We enjoyed the music which was hits from around 20 years ago - our era! and it wasn't too loud, just a nice volume so we could still chat. Cocktails are all around £15 each, which whilst expensive is pretty standard for Belfast. This bar does make an effort with presentation too and serves some truly unique cocktails that you won't find elsewhere. We will return if ever in Belfast again.

Visit this bar every time I’m in town and love the selection of Latin American cocktails - especially pisco sour which can be hard to find in Belfast. The live music was excellent and the bar staff are so helpful. It’s a good idea putting water on the table - I drank the whole bottle while sipping cocktails and woke up feeling great the next day instead of groggy!

We were wary of going into this cocktail bar as the music outside was very loud, and we thought it may be even louder inside.
We were pleasantly surprised when we went in as the music was not too loud and it was a nicely decorated space. There is a good range of cocktails and also there is a good wine list. The table service was efficient and friendly.

We popped in here for a couple of cocktails on the way back from a Chinese meal, and really enjoyed the cocktail. The staff offered to make us whatever we wanted, so that was a really good start! Bubble gum sours and a pear martini later and we were rather happy. There was a band on in the adjoining bar too which made it rather lively!

The best staff with a desire to make everyone's drinks special, I personally had an old fashioned and it was possibly one of the best I've ever had will definitely be back! Tinsley is the man!!
