‪A hidden gem, with relics and memorabilia from the Titanic.

A well preserved and fully functional office meeting and conference venue with a small museum on the ground floor.

A building with a true historic past that has been maintained and open for all to use.

A great venue to speak at!

‪This is what could say, old good times can resist the ageing. Building itself stood in it's original place, as it has been for decades. Architecture of it's own times been remained as original. Today it includes many interesting paintings and also some sculptures. Worth of visit, absolutely.‬

‪What a beautiful building and such a delight to see the wonderful paintings and decor of all the rooms.
What totally surprised me was the table and chairs for the Captain of the Titanic which never made it on board because the delivery lorry could not make up the time to catch her before she set sail. Should not be missed. ‬

‪A nice piece of architecture, surrounded by modern monstrosities. Surprising that it has survived the bulldozers over the years.‬

‪I visited on the Saturday of the European Heritage Open Days. The exterior is very grand, a real industrial / empire era statement. Long facade, tall, big front steps, stylised scallop shells in arches, and lots of smooth Doric columns.

The inside is very opulent. More columns, mosaic floors, sculptures, very tall ceilings, huge doors, and a very impressive staircase. Its good that some grand old buildings are still used and maintained today.

They have an astonishing historical artefact, a table intended for the Master of R.M.S. Titanic. It wasn’t ready for her first, doomed voyage. The table is behind a rope, but you can walk all around it. Elsewhere there are far more elaborately decorated desks and tables.

They had tour guide type people who knew about the place, but seemed to leave me alone. No matter, the huge, impressive rooms were fun to explore on a camera safari. Lots of very old paintings on the walls of the harbour, ships and the coast. Well worth a visit.‬

‪After having been to the Sinclair Seamens Presbyterian Church for the EHOD days we went next door to have a look inside the Harbour Commissioners Office. However it looked as if we had picked the wrong day of the two days that it was open to the public. I went to the reception where two people were sitting to inquire about times for the guided tours or even a brochure about the place. Not much reaction but shaking of heads to both of my questions. So we proceeded to the famous Titanic table that missed the boat and listened to a lady telling the story about this and also of the last survivor from the Titanic who became a nurse. After this we were left to our own devices. So continuing our walk through the rooms taking photos of a very nice interior we left the place with a lot of unanswered questions.‬

‪We went here for a conference dinner. Venue was great, service good. Lots of interesting things to see and learn about the harbour and its history. Spectacular building, beautiful stained glass and sweeping staircase. Food was unfortunately disappointing (except the pudding which was yummy), a strange mix for main course of mash, rice, watery stew and stroganoff. But it was s good night in a lovely setting. ‬

‪The Harbour Office is an excellent place to visit, the Heritage Room tells you the facinating story of the growth of Belfast Harbour from the early 1600's to modern day. And of course you can see Capt Smiths Table that was too late to go on Titanic's maiden voyage and is now in keeping in the foyer, fantasic heritage close to the city centre.‬
