Friend of mine recommended this place to me last week, i looked at the menu on line and couldn't wait to get down to Belfast to try it's food. Went all round the Christmas market first without eating anything as i didn't want to spoil my appetite, very hard to do ! First impressions were disappointing, cheap formica type tables and plastic benches downstairs, attentive polite waitress took our order, i had a largish burger and fries, wife had 3 mini pulled pork burgers and sweet potato fries, drink each, average wait time and the waitress was switched on enough to tell me that the burger i ordered was cooked medium rare if that was ok, i said no it wasn't and had it well done, maybe i am a philistine but i don't like to see blood in my food. it wasn't a problem. Food was served in the now "trendy" chipped enamel bowls/trays, it was nice enough, nothing special, Wifes equally so, to be honest, it's pretty pricey, £26.50 for two peoples burger and chips with a drink, McDonalds would have been just as tasty and less than half the price, though you did get a lot of chips, the most over priced item was the drink, 4 quid for a glass off coke ! On a side note, you may never use them, but the toilets were filthy, obviously not cleaned in quite few hours with several customers with a bad aim having been in there. So in a nutshell, i left disappointed, but feeling full, probably won't ever be back but give it a try if you can afford it.

Was in for lunch a while back, girl taking our order was pretty cheeky to my friend, food was average but took ages to arruve and was dried out as though it had been sitting under the heat lamps for too long. Cute surroundings though and my other friend loved his cocktail.

Great burger joint with lots of very cool artwork from local artist screechink, food was great as was the large selection of beers and drinks, very nice design and fantastic service.

Popped in while passing for a quick bite. Unfortunately the brighter and more cleaner glass fronted annex to the side was full. (All the 6 seater booths each had a couple sitting in them - even though they had a seating policy lol). We were told there was additional seating upstairs at the back and to go up there and choose a table.
We both went up and there were several vacant tables and one in the corner that a couple and child had just left. We moved towards that before a waitress stopped us to move us to another table. I informed her I would like to sit there 'well you can't ok! That's for groups!' I explained to her that the table had two adults sitting at it and they had just left and it was hardly a group table. There were three people sitting there actually ok!!' One was a baby no more than a year..'look you can't sit there..here's a table we are keeping that for groups'..'surely the 6 seater booths downstairs are better for groups? There are only a couple in all of those? Sorry we have a policy for groups ok!! was the retort. Horrendous customer service!! The seats/tables were lined across the back cheek by jowl, that particular table could only seat IMO 3 at a push. So my partner agreed on my behalf that we sit at a tiny table adjacent - at 6'3'' I could have done with the extra room.
I had the 'Posh Burger' and sweet potatoes fries. The burger was just ok and lacked any real taste. The fries were cold and felt like they had been sitting under a heat lamp. They certainly were not cooked to order - very limp and soggy. We ordered a side of chilli cheese fries at £5.50 and this was equally disappointing - a congealed mix of cheese/chilli drowned in a pint of a mayo like substance topped over equally limp and soggy fries. All served in 'trendy' chipped tin bowls..
I ate in here at Christmas and had a nice burger meal and crunchy fries however it's popularity (re: the need for a new extension etc) has certainly caused it's food and service to slip dramatically. So sad to see - it's initially popularity allowing sloppy food service, complacency, and rudeness to slip in - sorry won't be back..
(Incidentally, no one ever did come in after us to take our Nazi waitress's precious table for '3', or indeed any others. Maybe this swarm of anticipated customers have had a similar experience to us and voted with their feet..)

Food is ok, good selection of beer too.
Only complaint is that you can't drink in the restaurant section. Hopefully they can get that sorted.

came here with work colleagues for a quick lunch and i chose the jalepino hot dogs, mmmmm loved it. sausage and pull pork with chili peppers and cheese. we finished with time to spare and made it back to work very satisfied
