I popped in as I was passing nearby on the Causeway Coastal Path to get advice on the best walking route out of Ballycastle . Caroline was so helpful - she's local and walks her dog in the area so she could give me all the information I needed and which I'd failed to find on line. Face to face conversation is invaluable!

Thank you for your welcome and advice, without you we would not have seen the waterfalls near the lodge (as recommended we took a break), nor climbed Torr Head. The road was fantastic. Thanks also for the explanation about the store closures. If only the French tourist offices would come to you for an internship, they would understand what we need.

Ballycastle is a beautiful place! It was such a benefit to find Harriet! She was so knowledgeable and gave us the best advice for how to spend our time in Ballycastle!

We love to stop into the local visitor information centers at all of the towns we visit. We stopped in on our first day in Ballycastle and Harriet gave us an itinerary with things to do and tide charts and bus routes. She was AMAZING!!! I wish every town had a Harriet!!! Love this place and Harriet SO MUCH!!

The staff here are the kindest most helpful people, and couldn't do enough to help. A five minute drop in here was more useful ti me than hours of online research I had done! They helped me get clear about what I was looking for, and pointed me in the right direction to have a fantastic trip to a wonderful area. A wealth of information available, as well as guides maps and leaflets all free.

I found the staff, particularly Robyn, very knowledgeable and helpful, particularly pitfalls such as advance booking to avoid disappointment, such as ferry to Rathlin Island.

The boat that was supposed to transport my husband and I to Islay (Scotland) from Ballycastle had to turn back due to extreme winds (i.e. big waves). While we were happy that we were kept safe, this meant a total change to our travel plans which we hadn't anticipated. Luckily for us, Jacqui at the Ballycastle Visitor Information Centre, warmly welcomed us in to the office to sit and figure things out. She showed us maps, offered suggestions, and provided us with bus and train schedules. Most of all, she gave us a sympathetic ear and a comforting smile which encouraged us to realize all will be well.

While passing through, Ballycastle became a place that is beloved in my heart. It's not super touristy, it's super family-friendly (even paws-friendly, too), and it has a cute little beach. Upon my return (for an extended time), the visitor center was a must-stop at. I was worried it would only have flyers and not gifts but they had quite a bit! They were super crafty and neat, too. The people were so kind and thrilled to hear that the town meant so much to me that they gave me a really cute bag to go with my gifts. I'm so glad after months of following Ballycastle online and planning to return that I got so many gifts with the town on it. It really is a quaint and precious town and the people here are even better, they are beyond kind and friendly.

Visited Ballycastle visitors information centre on my last day of My Ireland Way hike. The support I received from Robyn was very much appreciated. Robyn went above and beyond and even ensured I managed to get accommodated on the nearby Rathlin Island when I was have trouble finding any.
I’m looking forward to returning and highly recommend visiting this information centre.
