Had a great few hours here on a cold Feb day. Popped onto the bait pond with my two girls, landed a lovely rainbow trout of 4lb and lost another. Lovely little pond and the owner a very helpful man. Highly recommend

It was a very wet day when I visited. The guy in the hut was very helpful. He told me the best spots and tactics to use. Because the river was high and running fast I opted to spin. I only had 2 spinners with me but he loaned me a better one.
I never caught a fish, got wet through, but enjoyed my visit and will certainly be back to try again. Better weather will be my first choice day for my return visit.

This was the worst experience we have ever had,we are pensioners who tried to have a few casts for salmon on the river tweed,while we were sitting on the banking,one of the boys looked over at the road,we saw this mad person crawling about in the woods?then he walked down the river ?then turned round and headed up the river bank where we were sitting ,enjoying a bit of crack with one and another,low and behold this mad person proceeded to his pocket and held up a warrant card ?stating he was a tweed ballif?I thought to myself it looks like the person forgot that Halloween was over??he hassled us more than one occasion??my point is if you want to get a bit of hassle fish for salmon at kalize fishery,we have fished at kalize for 25years when guy crowhurst was the resident keeper we have never ever had the hassle like this in our mature life,,and we raised our concerns with the new keeper ,a chap called Conner mkenize who wasn’t interested in my comments and we paid over the amount that fish pal charge ,there was zero facilities for the salmon fisher ,we paid in advance for the last 4 Saturday’s in November 2023 I never complain about having a day at the fishing,but hiding in trees ?that’s intimation don’t know who they had fishing before us?but Conner needs to take better control of this beat ??we will certainly never be back at kalize fishery I could add a lot more??totaly no respect for the senior citizen’s

Friendly and helpful, both Connor, who runs it and other anglers, without who’s help I would not have caught my three fish! Even gave me the worm & indicator which proved to be the killer pattern!

Went with son on our first fishing trip.
Superb service and brilliant experience.
Run by a great happy/smiling guy who spent time with us and explained casting and general guidance.
Brilliant little place in quiet grounds and a putting green as well!
Will definitely be returning.
Caught a trout and managed to give it away to an American guy holidaying nearby.

Great day fishing with my children. Conner was very helpful and all my 4 children caught a trout. We caught rainbow, golden & blue trout, in an hour! Fantastic fishing! Highly recommended. Tight lines!

Have loved coming to this putting green over the years. Very well maintained and a lovely 18 hole green. There is also a very well run fishery, courtyard cafe and walled garden. It has recently been taken over by new owners after Jane and Jimmy retired. Still a lovely putting green, however was a bit dismayed to see the price of a game of putting has now doubled ! Unfortunately because of this we will not be able to come as often as we would like as it is now quite costly for a family.

After the fishery reopened last weekend after being closed for neary 2 years due to owner retiring, i made the decision to down for 4 hours on a 2 fish ticket and didnt leave disappointed. Got my 2 fish which were in excellent condition and gave an excellent fight. Its a young lad who has taken on the fishery and after meeting him for the 1st time on arrival he was very helpful, not short of advice if needed. Will be back very soon.

I had taken my granddaughters down to learn to fish with my daughter have to say never laughed and enjoyed our time the new owners where fantastic so helpful loved it so much .

This fishery has unfortunately closed . We have been several times before and had a wonderful experience but new ownership has closed this part of the property.

It has a bait pond also however the big pond is fly only.
