Had a brilliant time last night running Maggies Penguin Parade! Elaine was our host for the run and kept us well entertained throughout getting to do different poses at each penguin and taking photos for us! The run was around 7km and we took in around 20 of the penguins. I would highly recommend this run to anyone that enjoys running (It's not a hard run and plenty stops with no-one being left behind) Another big plus for me was that £5 from every attenee goes to Maggies Cancer Charity! Thanks to Run the Sights for making it possible!

Many thanks for taking the time to pop a review up. The penguins are simply brilliant aren't they. So much fun and what better way than to see a whole load of them, than on the run. What a great way to take in some of the amazing penguins on the parade. Nice easy pace that suited everyone in the group. Elaine was a brilliant guide and kept us entertained with all of the photo poses.

This is a great way to see and learn about parts of the city you probably didn't know were there. Great for both visitors and Dundonians.

Myself and some friends from our gym took part in Run the Sights on Sunday. I was a bit worried as I'm not a 'runner' per se, needn't have been concerned. The pace was perfect, and really surprised by the many hidden treasures which Elaine managed to take us to. Having lived in Dundee for over 30 years it was a real treat. I would definitely recommend this to even the most novice of runners and who doesn't want to be rewarded by Prosecco!!

What an eye opener this tour was! I booked in to the last in a limited series of set-piece tours that Elaine cooked up to celebrate Dundee's street art, both old and new. She also threw in a wee bit extra sightseeing for me since I hadn't been to Dundee since I was much younger and only have vague memories of the town.
So many surprises for me. The town is wonderful to see on foot, this August Saturday there was very little traffic (which apparently is quite normal) so it was nice and quiet. It's also quite a clean town, in terms of litter and many of the older buildings have been cleaned and maintained beautifully (McManus museum for one).
But what we were there to see was art! So, our first stop was down a dead-end alley (I thought Elaine had taken a wrong turn!!) to see the first of the painted doors from the Open Close Dundee initiative. They are stunning! So vibrant, amazing talent and such a variety of styles. It was so much fun finding all these nooks and crannies with hidden surprises. We also took in older street art from decades past, including a huge mural from the eighties depicting all the facets of Dundee's history. I could go on and on, the V&A, the old industrial district, the waterfront .....
All this has inspired me to go back again, my Mum and I are planning to visit the McManus museum and I'll show her some of the street art. Dad always loved to visit the tall ships in Dundee and we had never been back since he passed away so although this was an emotional journey for me, it was such a positive one that I'm extremely glad I took the plunge and decided to go on.
Elaine was a typical Run The Sights guide: really friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Thanks so much for all your hard work on this!

Did the bucket trail tour of Dundee with Elaine and loved it. I'm Dundee born and bred but still managed to see parts of the city I hadn't explored before. All running abilities were present but Elaine managed to keep everyone together and ensured nobody was out of their comfort zone. Would highly recommend taking a tour with Run The Sights and will definitely be doing more myself :-)

Loved the way the oor wullies were situated around town ...ex stretch of the legs ...loved every statue ..a lot of work and thought went into each one ...

They were superb statues, the streets/parks seem empty without them :-(
