‪Tour of Old Town and New Town in Edinburgh‬

‪Our family recently toured the Old Town and New Town in Edinburgh. Gerry was a fantastic guide - leading us through the beautiful City while providing historical and architectural context. I can not recommend Gerry more highly - he is patient, knowledgeable and gregarious. A tour with Edinburgh Walks is not to be missed if you find yourself in the Capital.‬

Hi Matt, Thanks for this great review. This was our second time seeing Edinburgh together, it just shows you how much there is. It was nice to see D again. And hopefully your kids got a good feel for the city. You are all welcome back anytime, hopefully in the near future.

‪The Tour of All Tours - Really!‬

‪What a fantastic tour! In a four hour session, we not only received a great overview of the new and old town, but also the historical, cultural, political and day-to-day insights. Gerry is a true local with a charming personality and loads of recommendations. We'll be back!‬

Hi DT, We are so happy you enjoyed our time together. Your family were a delight to walk with and we certainly did a lot of that. You are all well travelled and have seen a lot in this world, so it is very special that you call this "The Tour of All Tours - Really!" You would most certainly be welcome to return to our city, there is so much more to see.

Hi Karen, Thank you for this very kind review of our walk. I'm glad it was enjoyable for you all seeing the sights of Edinburgh and hopefully you found a few surprises along the way. For the most part the weather stayed friendly for us and we got to see a lot. ‪Private trainspotting tour with Gerry‬

‪Excellent private tour. Our guide Gerry was incredibly knowledgable and gave us a fantastic day in Leith and Edinburgh.
We learnt about history, culture and much more. We are well traveled and have high standards, and we were very happy with our tour guide Gerry.
He even took us to a special bar for a pint of beer at the end.
Highly recommended ;))‬

‪Wow! Edinburgh is full of so much to see- so on limited time how do you get a great overview? Gerry! Gerry was informative and fun, covering a wide variety of sights throughout both old and new town. He kept not only my husband and I engaged but also my 3 teen sons. Beyond the actual walk Gerry was helpful before we arrived offering tips and suggestions on places to see and eat. During our walk he also answered questions and helped us sort luggage storage for the next day. It's like having a friend who lives in the location your visiting! The entire family agreed that this was our best tour throughout our 2-week European adventure.‬

Hi Jessica, Thank you for this very kind review. We had a great day out together and I'm happy I managed to keep the boys entertained too, not something that is always easy. I was very impressed with the itinerary you had already done in Scotland since your arrival and adding a walking tour into the mix has to be commended. I remember that for most of your family you had a short break in your journey home so I hope that went without a hitch. Thanks to you all for a very enjoyable afternoon's walk around the historic Shore area of Leith. From Cromwell to Ned Kelly's Gang we packed in a lot. And the questions were all very pertinent too. ‪The "Old" Brought Into a "New" Light‬

‪We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Gerry. He did a great job of putting the importance of each location in the context of Edinburgh's fascinating history. He offered a perspective that included a necessary dose of humor but also empathy for the lives of Scots from the past; the history can be difficult to wrap one's head around, but he was quite good at drawing an enlightening picture. Gerry's tour is an excellent introduction to Edinburgh.‬
