Absolutely amazing experience. Saw some of the most beautiful parts of Scotland. Our tour guide Rae was fantastic, very informative and had so much knowledge about Scottish History. Alongside this we had an excellent driver Craig. Would definitely recommend this tour when visiting Scotland or if you just fancy a day out like we did!

The coach was great. The tour was great. The driver was great. However, the guide, Rae, who I believe was there to point out places and some objective history, was appalling! Throughout the trip we were “treated” to a one sided history of Scotland which revolved around constant references to how brutal the English were centuries ago (they were brutal times everywhere!) how everything in Scotland was better than in England; how all problems in Scotland were the fault of “the English”, etc etc! It went on and on! I am English but not particularly nationalistic, but considering the other travellers were from around the world this slanted, biased and offensive narrative was unacceptable. She said she lectured students on Scottish history so I’m appalled that her students receive this revolting diatribe!
This is not her job. She is entitled to her own personal opinons, as are we all, but to have to listen to this appalling commentary is not in. I was with my partner (German) and sitting across from an Austrian. They were utterly disgusted by this commentary.

I am shocked to read your review. We have had such lovely positive feedback about Rae's tour. I have passed this on to our General manager who can investigate further.

Wonderful trip through the Highlands to Loch Ness. Our bus driver
Craig and guide Ray made this an exciting and memorable adventure. Bus is comfortable - even for such long tours They showed us the best views in the Highlands and Ray provided us with tons of exciting Scottish history, landscape and architecture.
Can definitely recommend it.

On the 6th of August, Me and my partner joined the Highlands/ loch ness tour. We honestly had one of the best days of our lives. The motorcoach was stunning. Clean and comfy. Our driver was first class and our tour guide was an absolute gentleman. Very funny and knowledgeable. We were blessed by the weather and got to view some of the most amazing scenery we have ever seen. We had multiple stops and lunch at the beautiful town of Fort Augastus where we joined the ferry for a cruse on the Loch ness. It was a dream come true to be in the Scottish Highlands and I thanks Lothian Motorcoaches for a day I'll never forget. Highly highly recommended!!!

We had an excellent day on the Loch Ness coach tour. Joyce and Josh were great - both knowledgable, friendly and approachable throughout the day. We felt really safe in the hands of Josh whilst driving through beautiful, scenic routes in the Highlands. Josh was always happy to help if we had any questions. Joyce was a great tour guide, her mix of knowledge, story telling and songs kept us entertained all the way there and all the way back! Thank you so much to you both for such a great day.

We recently joined the Loch Ness and Highland tour, and it was a great experience. Rae, our guide, was incredibly knowledgeable and brought the folklore and history of the areas we drove through to life with her engaging storytelling. Her organization skills were top-notch, having seamlessly arranged our lunch and Loch Ness cruise, allowing us to relax and enjoy the day.Karl, our driver, was exceptionally skilled. Navigating the narrow and challenging roads with ease, he ensured a smooth and safe journey throughout. My husband, a lorry driver himself, was thoroughly impressed by Karl's driving prowess.The bus was spacious and comfortable, with reclining seats and an onboard toilet, adding to the overall comfort of the trip. We were very happy with the tour and highly recommend it to anyone looking to explore the beautiful Highlands.

It's good to hear that your husband was impressed with our driver's skills- I'll definitely pass that on.
I'm glad Rae made the whole day easier by assisting with booking the boat trip and lunch for those that wanted them.
They love showing off Scotland to our customers.

I booked a full days trip with Lothian Motor Coaches, starting in Edinburgh, through the Highlands, Glencoe Coe to Loch Ness. From the start we received a warm welcome from Rae our tour guide and Karl our driver. The coach was clean and luxurious with reclining seats and an on board toilet.
Rae was very knowledgeable throughout the day telling us the stories,myths and legends of the places we passed and visited. There were regular stops on the journey to really appreciate the beautiful scenery which was absolutely amazing.
Karl's skilled driving along some challenging roads made for a very relaxed journey.
I would definitely recommend this company to travel with.

My husband and I took a day trip to Glencoe, Loch Ness, and Pitlochry. We had stops along the way to take pictures and it was absolutely beautiful. Pictures don’t do it justice. Our tour guide Philip was very knowledgeable with information about where we were going and shared history about Edinburgh and Scotland itself. He made sure to have conversations with everyone on our bus. Our bus driver Colin was great as well. We had a great time and lots of laughs.

An amazing day tour. Many thanks to Joyce (our guide) for wonderful and interesting commentary and to Colin (our driver) for a smooth and comfortable drive on some very demanding roads. Good itinerary with plenty stops for photos and refreshments. Angie and I had a great day.

What an amazing tour!
I was met at Charlotte Square by tour guide, Joyce, and driver, Colin, who offered me a warm welcome. As we journeyed out of Edinburgh towards Callander, Joyce provided lots of interesting facts about historical figures and archaeological sites of importance in the area. She was an excellent and engaging tour guide, and I thoroughly enjoyed listening to her throughout the tour.
Colin's driving was also fantastic - particularly on the twisty roads heading back from Fort Augustus where there weren't any road markings. Clearly a very experienced and professional driver.
The tour route itself is brilliant, with lots of stops to grab a coffee and stretch the legs, as well as loads of opportunities to get photos of the most stunning scenery. A highlight for me was getting up close with the Highland Coos at Kilmahog!

Are there toilets on you coaches? Or do you stop often for comfort breaks?

Sorry for the late reply. Unfortunately we do not allow children under the age of 5. The tour is a long and not suitable for small children.
