I went on December 28th, 2019 around 6:20pm to buy what I thought was a women’s black Barbour Beadnell jacket. Once I got back to NY, I realized the saleswoman (Win K) sold me a NAVY jacket!
Now I can’t fly back to Edinburgh just to return this. I also bought a black hood just for this jacket, which now doesn’t match in color. (Mismatching is not my forte and hood can’t be returned)
Because they cater to tourists I am doubtful that they will be empathetic to my situation and correct their mistake. Be careful when you buy things from here! Check every little detail!

I dont normally write reviews but my experience with their online services have irritated me so much I need to find some way to vent at them.
I ordered a product on 06/12/19 (9 days before the cut off date listed on their website for getting a delivery before xmas)
I received a confirmation email to confirm my order and I have had the amount taken from my account.
Since then I have had no contact whatsoever. There was no estimated delivery date on my confirmation order and their website provides no clues as to when I'm likely to receive it either. I've now resigned myself to the likelihood I won't be getting it in time to gift it to my partner for xmas.
I have received literally no further contact. I have sent two separate emails to them. One using the email address on their website and one using the form on their website (probably both go to the same place)
I received no confirmation that anyone received my emails, let alone any hint as to when someone is likely to respond to them.
I called their Edinburgh store directly to see if they could assist me and advise if I was likely to get what I ordered before xmas. They directed me to the contact number for their online services which I had already tried several times. (Was on hold for about 30 mins at a time before giving up)
However, I tried again and waited for over 2 and a half hours for someone to answer, all the while being driven steadily more insane by their maddening hold music, occasionally being told that I am on hold to customer services, but no idea what position I was in the queue, nor how long it'd likely take for someone to answer.
I again gave up after almost 3 hours and tried their store again (the number on google for the York store doesnt work, so the only contact number anyone answered was the Edinburgh store)
I spoke to a friendly chap who admitted these circumstances do sound frustrating and said he'd email their online services himself and ask they make contact.
I still have not had any contact.
I appreciate the Christmas period is busy for everyone but to take payment and not have any form of contact other than an order number. And for the people I need to talk to to be essentially non-existent is very frustrating.
I'd be curious to hear whether this was just a one off with my order or whether anyone else has experienced this issue as well.

Stopped in to buy cashmere scarves for gifts during my time in Edinburgh. The staff did not speak English as a first language which made communication difficult. They did not have bags, nor did they even have tissue paper to wrap my scarves in. I was very disappointed to pay $$ for nice cashmere and have to fold it up in my purse without any wrapping or cover, especially on a rainy day.

Visited this lovely shop a few days ago! It is based in very central Edinburgh and has every wooden Brodick you could possibly need from scarves to jumpers, even Barbour jackets! I first was greeted by a very welcoming member of staff, a tall young lad with very good knowledge of the products in store! You will not be disappointed next by this shop! I may have even bought a few things myself...

Dé winkel om te komen als je mooie kleding wilt hebben. Het kasjmier wat ze verkopen is verfijnd en mooi. Ook de Barbour jassen zijn van zeer goede kwaliteit. Zeker een aanrader gelegen aan de Edinburghse High Street!

Hi. Has anyone experienced a problem with delayed delivery? I placed an order on the 6 September and received an email confirmation but since then I have heard nothing. This company never reply to emails and getting through to them on the phone is nigh impossible (that’s if you do manage to get through). All I want to know is that the items are either delayed, out of stock or that they’re busy and doing their best but no one replies. They are very quick to take the money from your account though.
