We hired Edinburgh Executive Carriages to collect our family from the airport after a long travel day & I am so thankful we did. Our Driver Crawford was waiting for us at baggage claim to take us to our accommodations in the city. He was very nice and we even got a few pointers to make our stay easier. The car was very clean and comfortable. Would highly recommend this car service!

I rarely use a car service when traveling, but this trip, we had a lot of luggage and knew it would be a struggle to get to the taxi stand after 14 hours of air travel. I chose Edinburgh Executive Carriages (ECC) because they were listed on the Edinburgh Airport Web site.
I booked a driver from the airport to our hotel through the ECC Web site. The site requires you to submit your arrival date and time as well as the number of passengers and your preferred vehicle (sedan or van). According to the site, the company will contact you by e-mail with payment instructions if the timeslot is available. Having been through this sort of thing before, I was somewhat concerned about the length of time before I'd hear back. My concern was unnecessary since I received a reply within minutes with a link to worldpay to prepay the booking. We were going to be in Edinburgh for two weeks and had a lot of luggage, so I'd requested a van because I didn't think the sedan would have enough trunk space. There was some confusion on my part because the reply email specified a Mercedes as the vehicle. After a very quick back-and-forth series of emails, ECC confirmed that it was a V-class (van) with plenty of luggage space and we'd be fine. Whole point of sharing these details is to illustrate how refreshingly quick ECC is with email communicate. 5-stars for communication.
I'd been to the Edinburgh airport only once before and since I couldn't find any details on international pick-ups with ECC (they go into detail about their planeside pickup, but that's only for UK travel), I had some uncertainty about where we'd meet our driver. We found him immediately upon exit from the Customs area. He introduced himself took my wife's bags as well as some of mine and led us out the door to the van, which was maybe 100 feet from the airport exit. The van was the most comfortable van I'd ever sat in and had no problem holding all of our bags (including our carry-ons) in the back.
Our driver was quite personable and during the 15-20 minute drive to our hotel, we had a pleasant conversation. He seemed genuinely happy that we were visiting Scotland and made us feel welcome from the start. When we arrived at the hotel, he unloaded our bags and helped us inside to the desk where we parted ways.
I have zero complaints about ECC, their staff, or the driver. On the contrary it was a great experience and the next time I need transportation from the Edinburgh Airport, I won't hestiate to use Edinburgh Executive Carriages.

Consider this a warning more than a negative review. We booked a trip from the US to Edinburgh. As is apparently now routine with all airlines, our originating flight was delayed which put us on a later flight arriving into EDI. We knew about this almost 24 hours in advance, and emailed Edinburgh Executive Carriages. They were busy and unable to accommodate our later arrival. I understood this and we Ubered to our hotel.
However, when I requested a refund of the prepaid fare, Edinburgh Executive Carriages stated they do no offer refunds under their "terms and conditions" - even if flights are changed through no fault of the passenger. On this trip we spoke with few passengers whose air travel plans had not been altered in some way - so buyer beware with this company as your airport pick-up.

Have used their service numerous times for my daughter while she was living in Edinburgh. Always on time, superior service. Isobel was always kind. I highly recommend this firm. Drivers superior.

Paul and his team, specifically Campbell, offer a top notch transfer experience! Our hotel in St Andrews arranged for this luxury transfer from Edinburgh. Paul arrived early to our Edinburgh hotel and was not put off by our giant american suitcases.(whew!!) He chatted with us and gave us some great local info. He mentioned the different services his company offers, including airplane side pickup! He delivered us quickly to our St Andrews hotel and assured us we would have a similar experience on our return to Edinburgh. We were not disappointed.
Campbell arrived early as well in a slightly larger Mercedes (he smartly brought a van!) and we were able to get to Edinburgh as quickly as the early morning traffic and weather would allow. He even helped us and our giant suitcases into Waverly station. Call this team if you want a stress free transfer experience.

We used EEC on August 31, 2019 to be transferred from Edinburgh airport to the Aberdeen ferry terminal. We had looking at renting a car or taking the train, but we decided that this would be the easiest and most time efficient mode of travel. We were greeted warmly just outside of baggage claim. The driver was very friendly and helpful. We were driven in a Mercedes van that was excellent. It was a great ride, roomy and smooth. Water was available for us. The driver taked to us along the way and pointed out spots of interest. We arrived in Aberdeen early and the driver offered to take us to a local shooping center if we neeed any last minute items. This was a great way to travel and we give this our highest endorsement.

I used EEC for transfers for a business event involving different pick ups & drop offs in and around Edinburgh. Being the organiser but not a direct participant can be stressful as you are not there yourself. EEC were fantastic- consistently on time and kept me fully informed of pick ups and drop offs- even over the weekend- just brilliant.
Reports from the guests were all positive and complimentary- being offered the scenic route and a bit of history and background on the way for free was a really great bonus. Very much appreciated!

We used EEC for our transfers between Edinburgh Airport and our hotel in Royal Terrace, Edinburgh. The whole experience was one of sheer luxury but the price was not the same level as the service. Well presented and polite drivers were waiting for us and they were professional, courteous and interesting. They were able to get right to the terminal door almost and they were extremely helpful in getting us in and out of the airport. Their standard of driving was very high and the vehicles were immaculate and the bottle of water a nice touch. It seems that EEC are getting very busy and this is a great reward for a great level of service. Thank you Paul and staff for a wonderful service.

Have used Paul and Isobel for around 4 years now. Always prompt, immaculate vehicles and courteous drivers. I do not hesitate to recommend to friends and colleagues.

Easy to book and very helpful via email to get our booking just right prior to our visit. Our various trips involved a few surprises and our excellent driver Amanda was very helpful in assisting to keep the arrangements on the QT.
On time, very friendly, helpful - we will defiantly use on our next visit.
