Done a skydive last year for breast cancer.

I Was traveling around the area and wanted to do a jump, which had been on my bucket list and in honor of my brother who had recently committed suicide. On their website, it asked for a card to secure your time slot of your jump, Which I paid for two jumps on the date and time that I selected that showed available on their website. I then got a confirmation email saying that I needed medical forms to be uploaded which I was in the process of doing so I can make the jump happen.
Company then contacted me and told me that they were closed that day so I politely asked them to Kindly refund the deposit to my card since the jump was not able to happen. They rudely refused and stole my money without providing the service that was promised.

The whole experience was amazing from start to finish, the instructor was amazing for the training then I got the same instructor for my jump, I was nervous going up in the plane but soon as that door opens the adrenaline hit,he was so funny, and doing flips at the free fall then doing loads of spins , was the best feeling and I’ll be definitely booking it again . Look into my skydive certification

Amazing time at St Andrews doing my first Tandem skydive highly recommend this experience at least once in your life thanks George for the amazing quality photos and vids, and shoutout James for getting me back safely lol

Just had the experience of a lifetime at St Andrews skydive. What a day from arriving to meeting all the staff who are amazing at making your day calm and enjoyable, 6 of us done this for a charity called megans space . If you are ever curious about doing a jump i highly recommend doing it at St Andrews big thanks to my diving instructor lukas he was amazing and great fun and made my jump such an incredible experience .thanks again i will definitely be back

Fantastic experience, would highly recommend it. From turning up to register on the day, to completing my skydive and receiving the stills and edited video (same evening), everything was very professionally and efficiently done. Thankfully the weather was good, so no delays or postponement. The instructor who did the training was very good - serious enough to deliver the key safety messages, but also with a bit of humour at the right times. Both the instructor who I jumped with and the chap who filmed me were excellent, down to earth guys who were keen to make sure I got the most from the experience, which I certainly did.

I had my first even tandem skydive at Skydive St Andrews yesterday. The weather was absolutely in my favour, sun and clear skies. We had to arrive at 8am for registration then onto the most professional and comprehensive training by Lukasz who helped calm the nerves with his jokes. We were informed of our time slots relatively quickly following training with the first two people suited up and ready in no time. There were around 20 of us jumping, if not more, so they were keen to get everyone through as quickly as possible so people weren’t waiting around nervously for hours on end - a huge thanks to Ian for coordinating the whole day!
Onto the jump - I got my skydiving suit and harness on, quick shot of being hung up to make sure I knew how to get my legs up for the landing. Met George the cameraman who I thought of as an absolute celebrity after reading all the reviews about him, he is one of the most genuine and nicest people I’ve met also with great banter! I was extremely lucky to have George as my cameraman and Lukasz as my tandem instructor. Next we boarded the plane, Lukasz again went over the process again in detail and what I needed to do at the door to prepare for freefall. The plane ride up was immense, beautiful views with both George and Lukasz ensuring we were calm and relaxed by pointing out various sights - the view was stunning and even better that we had our own personal tour guides!
At 7000ft, it was getting strapped in real tight and waiting for the signal of the plane stalling ready for us to exit. I was first to go, George went out the side of the aircraft then we moved forward to the door. I can honestly say, it was not as terrifying as I thought it would be - no door fear! I was excited!! Got into position, head back and out we went! It’s genuinely thanks to those guys for making me feel so calm and safe.
Free fall was out of this world, it didn’t feel like falling, it felt like flying! The only bad part was it didn’t last long enough. Before I knew it, parachute was deployed and then it was pure bliss of a canopy ride with some crazy spins by Lukasz, which I loved! Before I knew it, it was legs up and ready for landing which was all so smooth thanks to Lukasz’s top-notch skills. Back over to the legend George for another chat to the camera and that was it all over!
The best experience of my life, the biggest thanks to ALL the team at Skydive St Andrews and especially to Lukasz and George, you guys were just the best 🫶🏻 I would highly recommend jumping with them, I’ll definitely be back!!

After 3 previous attempts to do tandem
Skydive, it was 4th time lucky, I phoned up on the morning of Sunday 24th March 2024 at 8am I then had to phone back at 10.30am for a further weather check, only to be told this time it was going ahead I was really nervous. Arrived at St Andrews skydive in Glenrothes and staff are amazing, really helpful and try there very best to take the nerves away from

My instructor was Stuart he was 100% amazing at trying to keep me calm and take my mind off it as we climbed to 10,000ft, the jump took place and oh god it was amazing I’ve been going on about it constantly since. I would highly recommend all the team at St Andrews skydive I will be booking again in the future 100% well done team St Andrews skydive !!!

Bought as a Christmas gift and used as a fundraising opportunity. We were almost last to jump and by then the clouds came thick and fast. A little bit of a bummer because everyone wants to jump in clear skies. Couldn't fault the staff at all. The instructors are great. Can't remember who I was paired with but he was spot on. I wasn't nervous but he made me feel at ease and talked me through everything. Once the parachute deployed he said "welcome to my office". I totally see why these guys do this. What a thrill and what a view! The whole jumping experience was phenomenal. I loved it and I'd do it again tomorrow. My fiancés instructor was Luca. Great guy. Thanks to both instructors for everything and thanks to Mark C for our prep. Hopefully be back one day.
Little tips: it was a first come first fly basis so get there early bells if you don't want to hang about. If you are hanging about there's a place a 5 mins drive away called Ela's Cafe. Great food, decent prices. Highly recommend.

We completed it as part of a team event for a charity so not sure of voucher price for a gift. The video option was an additional £90

My other half has a sky dive booked for this weekend, I’ll be going along as a spectator. Could anyone give me an idea of how long the whole experience takes, and whether there are cafe facilities or similar? Thanks ☺️

My other half came with me and feared she was going to be there all day, but my dive was completed by mid day. But you could be longer depending on the weather. I would pack a bag with snacks! Hope this helps

You have probably already done your dive by now but for any others asking, your life insurance covers the dive. The insurance waver you sign with Sky Dive St Andrews on the day of your jump only covers you damaging their equipment. For example, landing through the roof of their hanger. The roof is covered, your injuries are not. The vast majority of life insurance providers cover this as a one off extra curricular activity or experience. It is only if you were to take it up as an extreme sport or were to do it permanently that you would need special insurance. Bit always best to check with your provider.

Best thing to do is stay in Glenrothes,you might not get first day,you have to be prepared to visit airfield 2-3 days,depending on weather,great experience!!!

As long as you've actively rebooked within the year the company will honour the tandem.... may I suggest you get yourself re-booked soon as your liability insurance will have to be renewed (£20) and you will require re-training if you're out of the year.

Sorry,just saw this. I think you have to turn up then,and they jump from about 10am throughout the day until it gets too dark. Hope this helps? :)
