Love going up to craigtoun park to walk my dog was there on sat 25/3/23 my car was parked in disabled bays between 1pm & 4pm when returned my car was damaged some 1 had reversed into my car do know due to damage was white car who ever done never had decency to leave there on my windscreen think this is appalling if any reads this & seen this incident & maybe wrote registration down could they please reply to this due to this for garage to sort my bill is £540 not happy

Community run park and dog friendly cafe . Children’s play area and lovely long walks . Attractions not open till Easter but cafe means you can have lovely walk and fresh coffee and lunch as well .

A brilliant place to visit. My family had the best fun together in many years - my grown up daughter especially loved the train, reverting to childhood in a happy instant! Extremely reasonable prices for the different activities and something for everyone to enjoy. My grandson loved it all, his favourite being the pedalo on the beautiful lake. Ken and Bruce, the train drivers, were absolutely great, doing their best to make it fantastic fun for everyone. The grounds are beautiful and the food on offer was delicious. We will make it a regular visit whenever we come to stay with family in St Andrew’s again.

Craigtoun is a huge, beautifully maintained park with interesting gardens hidden away.
Entry and parking is free so it’s a great value day out even if you do pay for a couple of activities - pedalos and rowing boats on the pond, go-karts, train and tractor rides. These are not overpriced as you would find in some places. The staff running the tractor ride when we visited were so friendly, and our son loved being allowed to sit on the tractor at the end.
there’s a decent adventure play park, Picnic areas, plenty of toilets and a cafe.
We will definitely be back!

First visit ever. A lovely Country park. Huge spaces with lots of attractions for kids and adults. Boating lake, train, tractor ride and numerous play areas. Amazingly pleasant staff in every area. Highly recommended place to go.

This is an updated review for 2022 : Children's group visit (6 to 10 year olds) . 16 total.
I would give a "GOOD" rating as there is only Average and very good to choose from!
PLUS POINTS : The main toilet block nearest the cafe has been renovated to a very high standard and seems NEW. The whole park is nice to walk around and picnic at. The free to use small play area on sand (climbing frame/chute/swings etc) as well as the further away flying fox provides good free activities for the young children.
PAYABLE ACTIVITIES : The train was not in use when we visited on a very hot day and that was a huge disappointment. The puffin Billy Tractor/trailer ride was enjoyed by the small children. The peddle Go-Karts were ok, but the youngest struggled to go up the 1st big hill (Not sure why they designed it so difficult for smallest kids!). We had a limited budget, so couldn't take the kids on the boats, but they still had a good day out and enjoyed themselves without having to pay for all the other stuff. In my view the tickets are over-priced and some activities are not satisfaction for money.
STUFF THAT NEEDS FIXED : The extravagant metal pipe telephone 1 to 1 chat device on the sand play area has obviously been blocked by children throwing sand into the gaping hole, so it is completely redundant and doesn't function at all. I looked to see if a solution could be made and came up with the idea/suggestion of drilling a hole in the higher up bend of the pipe and water blasting the gunk out, then puting a cap on the hole (removable for later cleaning when required). This would allow the kids to actually use it. It has never worked for many years!
TOO EXPENSIVE : There is a food/drinks van parked under the trees just up from the cafe, but everything is over-priced. I was dumbfounded that they were asking £1.50 for a single doughnut, when you could pop into Morrisons in St.Andrews and get a packet of 5, filled with chocolate or creamy custard etc. for the same price! So unless you possess startling quantities of cash and love throwing it around with no regard for value for money, I recommend bringing your own bespoke picnic of delights to enjoy.

Incredibly friendly warm staff and what a really special place to be. A great place for young and old alike with so much to see and do. We all really loved it! We were all so impressed especially knowing how hard people have worked to get this all ready and lovely uk know there’s more to come yet with next plans. We will come again for sure. Ted and Bruce on the train were especially fantastic!!!

This is a fantastic place to visit. We had a great time as a family with 2 small children. The volunteers and staff were very friendly and helpful. The grounds and facilities are kept in immaculate condition for everyone to enjoy. I would highly recommend a visit here.

Free entry, lovely walks, lots to see with various food outlets. Children well catered for and felt very safe in the busy park. Very clean and tidy. Saw the track for a wee train, but no train - where has the train gone?

Need some investment. Middle section within pedalo water area is shut and in a very bad state, train wasn't working when we were there. So basically around £30 for a park that's defo gone downhill.

Hi . Stagecoach 64a does stop at the bottom of the main drive but these busses are only every 2 hours at present.

Hi We do indeed offer "Season Tickets" which last for the full season - 1st April through to 22nd October 2017. One person is £25, three persons £65 four persons £75 and every additional person thereafter is an extra £18.
