What a fun experience! Jim was super
Knowledgeable on the history of gin with lots of anecdotal tales too! The gin was superb and the ambience was amazing!!

Dinner at Alston was wonderful. Excellent food, attentive service, helpful and understanding of gluten-free need. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner here.

Got an anniversary voucher to use. Never been before.
Walked down the stairs and was greeted by a member of staff who took us to the table.
The service was so fast sat down drink order and arrived within minutes. She even gave us a glass of fizz to celebrate.
Order was taken and we had steak. The food was amazing.
I was really impressed with the service quick friendly and very attentive once a glass was empty or meal finished staff was on it and asked if we needed anything.

Another fantastic visit to Alston... delicious lunch, wine, cocktails & Gin. Holly remembered us from previous visits and

Excellent meal , superb steak , fantastic friendly attentive staff , definitely be back , can’t recommend highly enough . Mains , sides , everything done so well .

10 of us went here at weekend for my daughters hen we flew over from Belfast/Antrim Jack is an absolute star and a real credit to the company.His wealth of knowledge and history is so interesting. Our age range was from mid 20s to early 50s. Great atmosphere in the bar all bar staff so nice we were there for over 3hrs. It was the highlight of our weekend and I will recommend this to many of my friends. If you are uncertain about gin after this you will be a convert.

Had a Sunday dinner with friends and heard about this restaurant online. Food was outstanding and the service fantastic. Recommend this restaurant.
